Ghetto District, Beware, No Air and its Red Hot!
This hotel is a very bad value. While it is in the center of Paris, its also in the direct Center of the Ghetto. I am very happy only stayed here one night, had I booked more nights I would have been calling Hotels . com to get out of the booking. Huge draw back its really hot, no Air Conditioning in this hotel and he mini fan would not cool the mouse that ran by. Area is also very dangerous and major Noisy. Yes the price is low and is not low enough believe me.

Very good 8.0
Good hotel but bad for people with mobility issues
The are the hotel is in is considered "downtown" in Paris, next to the Gare Du Lest. I thought it was safe and it is walking distance from the St. Martin Canal, with a metro station across the street. The bed was nice and the bathroom was spacious and I would give it 7/10 for cleanliness, due the a strange smell in the room- not exactly bad but it was kinda "old" smelling. Great breakfast and helpful staff. The only complaint I have is that the elevator won't go up to the last two floors of the hotel (there are 6), so I had to carry a very heavy suitcase up a steep step of stairs. Apparently the elevator goes up to the 5th floor, but that floor is under maintenance. So if you have bad knees or any other mobility problems I would tell you to avoid the hotel (definitely thinking about my parents who are elder citizens).
Fair 4.0
The breakfast was good. The fact that my room was as small as a closet with no AC and it was on the 6th floor and the elevator only eent up to the 5th floor and that the tv didnt work and i booked a double room not a room with one double bed. This hotel was pitifull , its lication was in the slum area of Paris and it was pure torture. Ill never use expedia again. I called expedia and some told that i was wrong to expect more. I will never forget it.

Poor 2.0
This is not a family friendly hotel. This Hotel is a disaster. It is located in a very unsafe part of the the city. The noise from the street is very load. The vendors and criminal elements on the street create a environment unsafe for anyone especially a family. I can only stress this more by saying there are drug deals happening right in front of the hotel all hours of the day. The rooms are not cleaned properly and the staff have no idea what customer service or hotel management consists of in any form. Do not waste your money on this hotel!

Good 6.0
Loud, no AC, and expensive
While the staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel isn't in great condition (stairs missing carpeting) and the area is VERY noisy at night with groups of people standing around on the sidewalks, talking and playing music. Since there's no air conditioning, it's quite uncomfortable to have the windows closed to try to block the noise. For the price there are many other options in quieter areas.
