The property is centrally located in Wan Chai, if you are planning on just clubbing this is the place. Not the Ritz, but not days inn either. the rooms are decent size, but the show/tub is very small. Queen size bed, and it is an older hotel. Some black mold in the bathroom near the ceiling, doesn't bother me too much, since it was inexpensive ($114.00 per night US) the real advantage is the location. 1 block from the subway, easy to get to from the airport, and easy to get around, take a subway to central, then to kowloon for the day. bars and restaurants everywhere, and if that is what you are looking for, its perfect. there is a great Irish Pub downstairs, main reason I stayed, I only saw the pub and lobby, which are both great. would come back again, but probably try some of the other hotels as well so I have a better frame of reference

A Room from a Slasher Movie Set
We arrived at the hotel around 9 pm. We booked a room with 3 twin beds and had to pay extra for it. advertised the room with photos showing the 3 twin beds and that is why we picked this hotel. The lady at the service desk told us right away that the room with 3 twin beds is not available. She said that we booked a room with 2 beds and an optional roll away bed. The hotel never promised us the 3 twin beds. We showed her our booking and photos listed on We also told her that we had to pay extra for that room. She left and disappeared for 10 minutes while I tried to call to sort this out. Their manager came and told us that 3 twin beds room is not available. It is obvious that the hotel sold that room already. At that point, we had no choice but to take the room with 2 beds. There is no use arguing with the hotel when they sold your room already. The hotel promised us that our room with 3 twin beds will be ready the following day so we had to unpacked then packed again to move to another room. Do not be fool by the hotel's photos showing a nice room with 3 twin beds. That room is so outdated and old. The hallway and room look like a set from a slasher movie. If you really need to stay at this hotel, pick rooms from 13 floor and up. Anything under 12 floor is a set from slasher movie. The neighborhood is full of night clubs and pubs. We got a transvestite prostitute stationed at the corner of the street. We saw her everyday around 6 pm working!

    Very good 8.0
When we arrived, without our knowledge we were put on a smoking floor. I could not breath properly and felt unwell. When, the next day I asked why I was having problems, and why was there a smell of smoke told us it was a smoking floor, , /to there credit, moved us promptly to a non smoking floor. We went out for the day and they said our bags would be moved, this didn't not occur, we moved our bags ourselves. Overall, the staff were courteous and friendly. The new room was clean modern and comfortable. The room before was old horrible but clean. The hotel is under renovations, but I am so very pleased, in more way than one that we moved. Location was good.

Good location, spacious room but the staff...
Excellent location: Wan Chai (unless you want a great view), and the hotel is right next to MTR. Spacious room with a bit dated décor but very clean. All amenities except, inexplicably, shampoo (shower gel from dispenser only). Comfortable bed. Fast in-room Wi-Fi. The fly in the ointment were the rude front-desk staff. Standards are low in HK but other hotels still manage to do better, particularly four-star ones. They were also annoyingly incompetent, and had to be asked for anything twice. For example, initially Wi-Fi didn't work because they forgot to activate it (and don't expect even a token apology for that!). Getting them to honor the check-out extension was an ordeal too, and I was made to feel as if I were given a big favor. It's one thing if it's either just rude or just incompetent but when it's both at the same time, it's really just too much. On the positive side, the porters and doormen were very friendly but having to deal with the front desk was a miserable experience, and the reason I'd avoid this hotel. They clearly do not understand customer service, or do not care; either way, with so many hotels to choose from, I suggest you stay elsewhere. There was one other issue, namely insufficient soundproofing (noticeable due to loud music playing outside well into the night). I stayed in a "Superior" room on the 14th floor, perhaps some of the more recently redecorated ones do not suffer from this problem but keep in mind the reception staff will be the same.

    Good value in great location
A very good option and value for money in wanchai. The paying breakfast for a 4 years old felt too expensive (compared to how much some adults eat at a buffet a bowl of cereals at 70$ feel way overpriced) also the personal at the breakfast was unfriendly. Same for the lazy pool boy. It’s a shame they let in non guests at the pool and sight when guests ask for a towel! Otherwise it’s was a good stay.
