4/10 Fair

Not a 4 star hotel
Not a 4-star hotel as advertised. It is a 2 star at best. Needs a lot more upgrades.

For me, a perfect Tokyo hotel
The artist rooms are interesting, and break the mold of generic business hotel rooms. Additionally, the artwork in the lobby and hallways makes this feel, to me, like a comfortable, friendly place to stay. The breakfast is alright, just a couple of choices, but they're decent choices. The hotel logistics are fantastic for exploring Tokyo. Starbucks, fancy local, and chain local coffee in the next building over, a convenience store in the basement, directly connected to the Shiodome Station, and a couple of minutes walk from a variety of good restaurants and the large, well-connected, Shinbashi Station. You can get to the tourist bits of Tokyo multiple routes on less crowded trains from here. You can walk up to the southern edge of the Ginza in maybe ten minutes or so. There is a great park (Hamarikyu) just a couple of blocks away, on the waterfront (from there you can also explore up the river on the small ferry/water taxi). I stayed here a couple of times before the pandemic, and now just after Japan opened back up. Oh yeah, good views from the 25th floor lobby and lobby elevator to Tokyo Tower and over the train tracks.

Gorgeous hotel, easy to access by public transportation, especially if you are coming from the hotel. Weird detail but the hotel lobby smells so good. Best was comfortable and I wish I could have had a longer stay. Definitely worth booking a room with a view of Tokyo Tower in my opinion! Although if you don't, note that you still can get a good view of the tower from the lobby.

Beautiful things can come in small sizes
Location is great as the whole Shimbashi/Shiodome area has changed. The whole is easily accessible from stations. The property is beautifully decorated with art. The only issue for me was the size of the rooms is a bit small for a couple.

We stayed in a queen artist suite. The room was beautifully painted by the artist and a great atmosphere. Lots of art work through out the hotel to enjoy.
