KInd of creepy.
This is one strange hotel building. Must have been a former warehouse or factory. The rooms are large and comfortable enough. But it started raining during my stay and minutes later the plumbing fixtures all erupted water. The toilet acted like a volcano spewing water all over the bathroom floor. The sinks were the same. Its a bit of an adventure to get from the lobby ti the guest rooms. The one elevator between floors (4 floors) is a self-operated freight elevator that is kind of fun the first time but becomes a chore with subsequent use. You have hold the up or down buttons constantly to summon the elevator. Take your finger off the button, the elevator stops. Same thing when moving between floors. Odd place.

Terrific place to stay in central Montreal
The loft hotel room was enormous, with all necessary kit. The style of the room and its spaciousness were amazing. Two walls were all glass and unfortunately the blackout curtains need a bit of attention which could be easily sorted. But the two enormous beds where extremely comfortable, so sleeping and hanging out in the room/apartment was great. I think the breakfast could have been a little better seeing as the hotel rates 4 stars, and could have been available later than 09:30. But overall friendly and helpful staff a terrific room helped make our stay excellent.

Very good 8.0
The hotel was certainly unique. It was clean and comfortable with some inconveniences. The front desk isn’t staffed consistently, and watch out if you return late (12am or later) as if no one is at the desk you will be locked out of the hotel. The bathroom outlet in my room didn’t work, so I couldn’t use the hairdryer provided. This hotel is not accessible, warning there. No door is automatic, and even if there is an elevator, it’s an old (but fun and well decorated) freight elevator which needs you to lift the gate and bring it back down before you hold the button up or down to get to your floor. The room was gorgeous, but on the 2nd floor it was hot! The windows and the air conditioner helped some.

Ladies trip to Montreal
This was our second stay at The Loft. Found this little gem a couple of years ago and are so glad we returned. The room is immense, open, clean, modern, airy and a great price performer. There was plenty of room for the three of us to have our our space and do our own thing. The kitchen facilities are amazing and although we love to eat out; we did cook a meal in the room also. The staff was extremely helpful with directions and suggestions. Love this place and will certainly stay at The Loft every time we are in Montreal!

Great place but need to fix a couple of issues
Loft was fantastic value for money. Huge apartments in a great location. The apartment was clean and tidy and the free breakfast was very good. However, they haven't insulated or sound proofed between the floors. You can clearly here people in the above apartments walking around and this kept us awake for a few of the nights we stayed. They weren't being noisy either it was just general noise as they moved around their apartment. From the reviews I can see that this issue and the warmth of the apartments is a repeated problem. A little bit of sound treatment and insulation between the floors would solve this problem and make the Loft Hotel a perfect place to stay in Montreal.
