Nice but needs a bit of work
For the price i cannot fault it. The issue i have is the comfort of the bed and pillows, also the walls are quite thin so we could hear snoring from our neighbour. But in beautiful surroundings.

Weekend stay
We had a great weekend at the hotel. The staff were exceptional and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation was great and the meals were home cooked and delicious. Overall the hotel and bar gave us everything we needed for a fabulous weekend.

Return to The White Pheasant
Have stayed here several times in last six months. Always get a warm welcome on arriving. Our room this time was OK. When arriving, there was an apology that housekeeping had not switched on the room heating. There are electric radiator heaters that took a while to warm the room to comfortable standard. Also the bathroom floor seemed very cold and damp. We had a good night's sleep in a very comfortable bed.

A lovely old style timber framed hotel. We were there for two nights and had breakfast on one morning. I've really got nothing bad to say. Staff were friendly and very helpful, great to see a pet friendly place. Spotlessly clean and tidy.

First stay not impressed
Room cold had to sit in a chair on top of the radiator to keep warm sat for the first 4hr with my fleece on. On check in door was locked went to another door a young lad said he would open it for me for check in but instead of me following him inside he asked me to walk back round in the rain . Went to work next day then came back i was cold and the door to get in is coded i put the code in the handle turned but the door wouldn't open had to knock very hard on a window to get someone's attention to open the door for me good job it wasn't raining took a good 10 minutes to get in

It’s fairly cheap but for good reason. Room looked nothing like the photo on Expedia or their website. Very tired decor with bodged repairs. Limited signage on arrival. Wifi password given not working. Toilet broke during stay and no hand soap provided in the bathroom. On the plus side the staff that were about were friendly and the room was clean.
