Noisy room! Free ear plugs provided...
The hotel is clean and central and complimentary coffee pods are provided. However, the main reason you stay at a hotel while in Europe is to sleep and rest and this was simply not possible at the Albus due to the non existent sound proofing. The windows did not seal properly, meaning the traffic and street noise poured into the room all night long (the hotel is near the busy Remprantplain intersection). The hotel's solution to this? Complimentary ear plugs in the room! I've never seen this in all of my years travelling. If you stay ensure you ask for a room on the top level.

Great location & service!
Lovely, clean but small room, great service from the lobby team and comfy bed. Price is a tad steep for size of room, but service and location is great and I’d consider staying here again.

Right place - great value!
Excellently located, with a quick #24 tram from Centraal Station. Rooms are modern, not huge but well kept for being in the historic center. Street is quiet and double windows work very well. Teally in the middle of town, able to wslk to museums and almost anything you are visiting in Amsterdam. I would stay there again!

Nice Hotel
We booked this hotel based on the fairly high guest reviews and value. Hotels in Amsterdam have become increasingly expensive over the last few years and we weren't planning on spending much time in our room. This hotel represented an average stay for us - the room was clean and good-sized (for Amsterdam) and the reception was super friendly. Noticeably lacking were a mini-fridge and hot pot (for tea). We like to keep a couple of things cold in our room, including a bottle of wine and some cheese, and find that mini-fridges are increasingly common in most rooms. We asked for an electric water pot, but were told that there was a limited supply and they were all being used. In that case, our suggestion would be to purchase a sufficient supply for every room (they're very inexpensive) The location of the hotel was fairly good, but the street not particularly charming and not on a canal, so our suggestion would be to ask for a room facing the rear of the hotel.

Lovely very quiet room...
Lovely modern rooms that were super quiet. The room was extremely well insulated from any noise emanating from the street below.
