Not quite as expected
We found the location easily, right next to the train station in the center of town. We were greeted by a staff member who seemed only partially interested in our arrival. We booked this hotel on the basis that there was parking available, however were informed that there were only 8 spaces available to the entire hotel, and we would need to drive a few blocks away to a parking centre and go back to the centre to pay each morning we were in town before we left. We arrived to the room which was small, dated, tired and certainly not what we were expecting. We decided to stay elsewhere.

Tired Victorian hotel in great location
Old style property. The first room I was given had poor amenities, including an absence of drawers and broken in-room safe. Reception was decidedly unhelpful, so I took my dilemma to the GM Mr Bannerjee, who acted swiftly and cheerfully, allocating me a room where everything worked. Hotel has poor wifi. Kept dropping out. Upside, hotel is in a brilliant location, next door to Inverness railway station.

Nice traditional hotel next to railway station
Like many hotels built in the 19th century this hotel lacks parking. It has been updated and is a nice mix of traditional and modern. Breakfast is great.

Traditional Scottish Hotel - to be experienced
Really enjoyed my stay, but found the WiFi very intermittent...frustrating to say the least. Sited next to the station is a bonus. My room was very comfortable. Great to experience traditional hotel hospitality...staff galore, comfortable lounge facilities...and proper Scottish afternoon tea on offer. Nice.

wee highland fling
Very comfortable rooms bit noisy from lane at back. Need to have a better system for breakfast with Covid 19 is prevalent but on the whole good and very central.

couple of days away
We had a two night stay at this hotel, the hotel is a bit dated but that is only to be expected with such an old building. We found the staff to be very polite the food was lovely and overall could not fault this hotel. Would definately stay here again if we were in Inverness and another plus for us was that you are right next to the train station.

Rest potential, but needing TLC
I have a feeling in its prime it was amazing. Now present day it feels of it's catering to an aging repeat customer market. It's lovely as you walk in, but rooms need updating. Yellow pattern wallpaper peeling and old pattern curtains. For facilities It's the silly things like upgrading to a full breakfast you receive a paper token and if you don't have it at the bar you don't get the full Scottish breakfast. I'd expect a computer system to tell the staff who has and hasn't paid for one. I feel the hotel has potential, but the owner may be tight with the purse strings. Again, 12.50 for a full breakfast that had deep fried bread , tiny portions per item. Didn't feel the luxury I'd expect. The staff were lovely however I feel a sense of demotivation.
