We had a delightful stay. Originally 1 night but requested a 2nd and fortuneately there was room. When we arrived a maintenance man was in our room fixing a rail in the bathroom. As we had to wait 2 minutes he returned with free drinks vouchers and fresh orange juice for the inconvenience. The attitude and service culture was outstanding throughout our stay. I would high recommend this hotel, even if you are not a cricket tragic

Very nice hotel in Old Trafford with amazing view of the cricket ground. We paid a little extra to have a pitch view with a balcony & we loved it. Absolutely fabulous close view of the cricket pitch from the comfort of our own room & balcony...just sorry there was no game on during our stay. Very nice breakfast with plenty of choice. Clean & comfortable rooms & friendly & helpful staff. Just minutes to walk to tram stop for an easy tram into the city. We would definitely stay here again.

From the moment we arrived early the staff were great. Allowed us to check in early, upgraded from City to pitch view which was great as we were there for two nights to watch cricket. Naty was a star, always smiling, cheerful and had time for you. Included breakfast was excellent, everything you could want and more. Fridge in room was useful to keep drinks and snacks cool. We had a second floor balcony which meant we had an excellent view of the pitch for the game we were watching. Free car parking throughout our stay, which is both plentiful and secure. Old Trafford tram stop is about 100 yards from hotel entrance which is very convenient for evening trips into the centre for meals out. One thing to point out is the building work next to the hotel which they are extending and also building a new stand. This was sometimes noisy between the hours of about 8am and 4pm, but did not spoil our enjoyment of the stay. Our lasting memories will be how well we were treated not only by the hotel staff but everyone we encountered at Old Trafford in the ticket office and around the ground by the stewards.

Whilst the hotel was good and convenient for what the purpose of the stay was the service was extremely disappointing. The marathon was on whilst we stayed but not once did the staff tell us what the implications would be for us. They had put notices in the lift but we didn’t use them so didn’t appreciate that from 8.30 we were basically stuck at the hotel with no support on how to get out of Manchester. The roads were going to re open at 6pm and that was the only advice given. Why was a notice placed in each of the rooms? Why was there no help on how to get out of the city - there was a small window at 12/45 as it turned out from advice from a race steward, and why were we not told in advance. The manager said they had emailed three times but I had not got one email.. only one on rate my stay so they have the right info on file for me. Lack of customer service and care and lack of advance warning just shows all they wanTed was to get the booking and money and not realising that we will never stay in a Hilton again. We got home at 7pm last night when we should have been home by midday. Would not recommend.
