6/10 Good

The outside property is very well kepted. The breakfast was nice and pretty decent. Staff was awesome. Our only problem was that the room smelled liked a wet dog. We went to local Walmart and brought some Lysol spray to help with if. We only slept there so it wasn't too bad. Mangers should think about having rooms specifically for guest with dogs. The smell never went away over our three day stay

8/10 Very good

Very nice clean. The only complaint we have is that we had a handicap room, which was located, a very long way from the elevator. Not a good scenario for an old handicap person

Spacious, clean room. Staff is helpful. Coffee is good. Breakfast was good. There is a nice laundry area. Pool is small, but the space is clean. One note, they do not do daily housekeeping for the rooms. You can get fresh towels or anything else you may need by asking.

6/10 Good

The main lobby area was fairly clean and inviting, but the front desk staff when we arrived didn't bother to greet us and both individuals were "busy" trying to change rooms for another family that had checked in a little bit ahead of us, since apparently their room was "hazy" and smelled strange. After waiting about 10 minutes for the one of the front desk staff to somewhat greet us, we were able to check in without issue. Our room had stains on the carpet, but the bathroom and beds were clean. The breakfast was ok.

Staying at a non-“big box” labeled property is always a gamble. The BestWestern Fort Wayne North is a diamond in the rough! Upon walking up to the front door, I was pleasantly surprised how clean the outside of the property was. Check in was easy, and efficient. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I especially appreciated the individual touch of a phone call from staff to ensure the room met my expectations and to ask if there was anything that I needed. It was nice to be recognized as a human guest, not just another number in the cog of the machine. HIGHLY recommend this property! I will definitely be back.
