Great hotel but 5 star needs that extra touch you
The Grand Marina is a beautiful hotel in a fab location. Perfect for sightseeing. On check in, as a gold member, I enquired about the option of an upgrade to a room with a balcony. Informed hotel was fully booked which was understandable. Rooms were beautiful but we did have an issue with the first room we were allocated. There was a draught whistling through one of the windows which could be heard out on the corridoor. On returning to reception I was informed it was due to the "unseasonal weather". I disputed this reasoning as it could be clearly seen that the window was faulty. We were allocated another room...with balcony......15 mins previous there were none available???? We also never received our complementary bottle of wine, despite asking twice. Coffee pods/water not refilled every day. Small things I know but this is a 5 star hotel so 5 star services expected. Bar was lovely, food from the snacking menu was delicious. 99% of the staff we came into contact with were friendly & helpful.

Not bad!
It was very clean, sheets cleaned and felt comfortable. I'm very particular where I sleep, bed, sheets and can easily be grossed out when it comes to the bedding, so that and the bathroom where clean. Hotel is nice nut I would still give it and 8.5 out of 10. Bit over priced, breakfast was really over priced and can easily eat anywhere else for much cheaper. No at a level of a 10, not that luxurious.
