Exceptional 10.0
I really enjoyed my stay at here. I made my reservation last minute (I was on my flight). I slept in every morning, so housekeeping never had the chance to clean my room. However, my room was very clean when I arrived. Each person I had an encounter with at the front desk was lovely. ABOUT THE ROOM: These aren’t negatives but I think it would give you an idea of what to expect if you booked here. I am a size 12 in womens clothes and the SHOWER WAS VERY TINY. It didn’t prevent me from showering but it made it very challenging since there was barely enough space to bend down. Spent ten minutes trying to pick up the bar soap when I accidentally dropped it. Smaller women and men may not have this problem. I really wish I’d taken a picture but the shower was a square in the corner of a tiny bathroom. The rooms are smaller than the hotel rooms you would normally see in the USA. I was traveling alone, so it did not bother me. However, I couldn’t imagine sharing the double bed with another person because in the room there is only enough room for the bed and to get to the bathroom. The elevator is also very small. And if you have a room near the elevator, you can hear it through the walls. I was in Room 401. There are plenty of restaurants within half a mile of the hotel and I often walked. The tram isn’t far away either. You can take the tram for €1.50 from the airport to the last stop, Jean Médecin. I walked from there to the hotel with no problem just using map on my iPhone.

Charming old Mansion close to town and seafront.
The Hotel is only about a four minute walk from the main street of Nice and I set in a picturesque area of old Italian style properties with the occasional French style built recently. It may sound unusual but it really does work together beautifully. The staff speak English, so no matter what your standard of French is like you can always fall back to your native tongue and be assured of a warm welcome. The Maids service your air conditioned room daily to a really good standard making it a pleasure to return to after an action packed day. There is a television room which leads out to a small balcony with only four chairs but it is an ideal way to relax at the end of the day. The only tip that I can offer is not to overpack your clothes as there is a self service laundry just outside and an ironing board available at the Hotel. Our room was spacious with a high ceiling with all the comfort and amenities you need for your stay including a small fridge. The family room was set on two levels with a downstairs toilet/shower and upstairs a small bath/toilet. Large French doors could be opened to allow you to enjoy the Mediterranean air. The only thing that I feel should be brought to your attention is that the streets can be a little noisy with traffic, but apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice stay, tight quarters
This is a very lovely, European hotel. By European, I do mean on the small side with the rooms tight and the showers very short. There is a lot of bending required for anyone tall. We had a double room which meant two queens, one downstairs and on in a loft up a tight spiral staircase. This seemed to be the case with all the rooms I saw, though some did have some room for a sofa or desk (ours didn’t) so might ask for one with a bit of room if with a family. It was difficult to get more than a carryon size luggage up there. Breakfast was very good and the staff there was very inviting. Location was great, within minutes walk of the main square and beach. Wi-Fi worked but was slow

Very good 8.0
We liked the situation - in a relatively quiet area, but close to bus stops and the expanding Nice tram system and just 10 minutes walk from the old town or about 15 minutes from the train station / Promenade d’Anglais. We really appreciated the air conditioning, small fridge, USB charging sockets and tea / coffee making facilities in the room. The bed was comfortable, towels were replaced daily and although the room and bathroom were compact they were adequate. However the sink plug ‘lift’ mechanism was broken throughout our week stay despite reporting it and we had to get staff to open the in-room safe when we arrived. The staff were delightful and helpful, but we were given some poor transport advice about getting to the Allianz stadium which we fortunately double-checked. We didn’t have the hotel breakfasts, it was easy and much cheaper to have a coffee and pain au chocolat at a cafe on our way out each morning.

Great stay
Close to the beach and shopping center, walking distance to a lot of restaurants. Close to the tour bus stations. The hotel is beautiful and cozy, we booked a standard queen bed room. Staff was friendly and nice, we asked for an upgrade but they didn't have such a service. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, we had a room that was facing the backyard so it was quiet. They serve breakfast with gluten-free options, which was rare to find in Nice. Their breakfast room needs to be a bit bigger but the quality was great, they offer fresh orange juice which was great. The elevator is tiny, my husband is 6.3, the 2 of us and 2 carry-ons was more than enough for the elevator, but we were no surprised since it's France and everything is tiny. We had a good time at the hotel. Beds are very comfortable and clean.
