NH Collection Amsterdam Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky

Fantastic location right on Dam Square. Excellent large room with spacious bathroom and two big beds overlooking the internal courtyard. Good bar with friendly staff on the night I was there but would be nice to have a couple of tap beers.

I was a little disappointed with the noise on the street but the quality of the hotel made up got it. Breakfast was amazing as were the breakfast staff.

Amzing location and walking distance to most attractions and cafes! Staff were so professional and friendly and the hotel was beautiful! The bed was one of the most comfy beds I've ever slept on!

Unbeatable location, everything either in walking distance or a stone's throw from public transport. Our room was along the side of the hotel (room 3074). Bit noisy on a night as the road is closed to traffic till 10pm when the delivery lorries arrive but they don't stay long & keep you awake. The hotel has obviously been recently refurbished so the rooms are clean & modern but there were a couple of things that were disappointing. The room was near the fire door next to the lift. Every time someone came through the doors they would cause a draft & make our door rattle. One of those 'dripping tap noises!' We resorted to folding up card & wedging the door to stop it. There was also a lot of noise (footsteps/dragging chairs) from the room above which indicated a lack of sound proofing which I wouldn't have expected from a 5*.hotel. Most worrying was when.we checked out. It was early & the fire doors between the rooms & the lift were wedged open. Presume this may have been because next door had the same door problem as us but nevertheless rattly doors & poor soundproofing in a refurbished hotel is not great.
