Old old hotel
Hotel is really old, which I already knew bc we grew up in Dodge City. But is under repairs/ maybe remodeling. Not really a place you stay with family. Pool had water in it but a filthy film on top making it look terrible. Just drain it. I wish Hotels.com would have this noted or take it off your site. Employee there also commented about how i paid for one night. Guess i should have called them for a better rate. I can appreciate a remodel, working progress hotel like this one. It was a fun place to stay when i was little and my grandparents would come and stay there. But should let others know or take off your site while its in this state.

Jr Suite Garbage
The Jr. Suite is not available. They have one and it was decent, but there is literally no water to the room at all. Bathroom and large tub included. Then they gave us an "upgrade " that was the same standard room our friends paid $40 for. I used to like going there for a quick overnight. This was my last visit. It really is sad.

These place honestly deserves NO stars. This place needs a complete overhaul with everything- new furniture, new carpeting, new staff and most of all new management. Had housekeeping bothered to sanitize the tv remote they would’ve seen it was clearly missing a battery. I called the front desk and the woman working couldn’t handle getting us one. Not that it really mattered because AFTER I had to purchase one the cable wasn’t even working. No bottom sheet for the bed so I got to see the stains on their old mattress. Non smoking room but from the smell I’m sure it would match those that do. Need to do laundry? Don’t even bother. The front desk didn’t have quarters and the ONE dryer out of four that didn’t have an “out of order” sign on it didn’t work. So I have a nice load of wet clothes. Pet friendly meaning have huge dogs or hunting dogs is completely okay and feel free to let them run around the hotel and main areas- another contributor to the stench. The main area/pool/activities area they keep it like a bat cave- dark and cold, heat is non functioning. Make sure you actually read the reviews. You’ll notice a lot of people complaining yet it’s rated 5 stars.

I really was expecting a better stay and the pictures from that hotel does not look anything like the room I stayed in, parking lot is really bad and the only nice people I saw in that hotel was the housekeeper

Owners don't invest any profits and it shows!
This hotel is decrepit. The lobby and greeting foyer is respectable, nice western decor. When I pulled around for parking, the floor level outside entrances are literally boarded up with plywood. The 'atrium'...the game rooms and pool area look fun to attend, but becareful, don't trip over the carpets as they are rippled and deteriorated; there is actually duct tape on the spiral stair steps carpeting, and handrails unattached to original railings! Ceilings are water spotted & sagging in the rooms, mildew growth in the bathroom-no in room coffee, hair dryer or shampoos. Room decor hasnt been updated ftom the 70's including the furniture. I litterally had to bang on the heater to get it started & my TV didn't work! I should have demanded a refund & marched out, but I'd driven 6 hrs to get there & was tired enough I had no fight left. Should have left when consumers before me were bickering with management at the front desk about their room. Lesson learned, they're more inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area and definately less than acceptable quality wise. The staff was friendly, but no assistance with any issues brought to their attention. "I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do about that" was heard all too often...just don't stay here, I never will again!

Poor
This hotel is very filthy. Looks like the ceiling was falling apart and the carpet was super gross. They also charged my card hundreds of dollars without my consent or without notifying me!

Dodge House during Covid
The hotel is older and outdated, but an ok value. The breakfast was not available, although it was still stated online when booked.

No masks
The stay was fine, but the stay has a cloud over it as the customers did not wear masks and a large gathering was in the general store area Friday night, Was just like a busy bar. folks entering the restaurant did not enter with masks either. had I known this policy i would not have stayed.

Very good
Room was dated but clean, nice indoor pool that was heated. We had an RV and there was plenty of room to park it during our 2 day stay. Restaurant had one of the best steaks I have ever had.
