Request room on parking lot side of hotel
This was our 2nd stay here. 1st time was a lot nicer because of the room location, which was a standard room, on parking-lot side of hotel. This trip we got a Queen Suite on highway side of hotel. The noise level in room was so terrible that we may as well had been sleeping in a tent on the shoulder of the highway. Kept us up all night, both nights. The bed also was not as soft as the bed in the standard room, at previous stay. Both stays were due to family in Univ Hosp. This time, family member passed away... so we NEEDED rest, but absolutely did not get any rest, & no sleep! Best TIP: REQUEST YOUR ROOM TO BE ON PARKING LOT SIDE OF HOTEL. Otherwise: Staff is very friendly & helpful. Hotel is clean & well-kept. Area is safe. Parking Lot well-lit, quiet, & safe. Rooms are clean. Shower water-pressure is a bit weak but ok.

Great staff
Joy is the receptionist at the front desk. She is the best. I stay here every wednesday in the summer and she always let's me check in a little early. I noticed many regulars love her too. I run a small business and I know what good service looks like. She is a great example!

Smoking in non-smoking floors
The hallway and entrance to our room, all the way into our bathroom, reeked of a particular substance that is smoked, and it was not cigarettes. We were there for less than 24 hours and this happened on two separate occasions, on a non-smoking floor. We complained to the front desk and I believe they tried to address the problem but it happened again. This was especially upsetting as we had our 3-year-old daughter with us. The room was nice but the low rate was not worth it for us.
