Hotel Pineta Palace, Rome, Italy
Worst 4 stars hotel
Probably the worst 4 stars hotel in the world. Hard to access the hotel and when you get there tones of garbages welcome you outside the hotel and you cannot see the sign of the hotel name behind the trees. First night I have been attacked by lice and they moved me to another room. Uncomfortable mattress and bad wall isolation, we could here people talking at the next room and woke up at night when they were flushing the toilet. Rotten door and broken bathroom tile's in addition. No decoration in the room and bed less than one meter away from the toilet door. Very very bad breakfast buffet with bad coffee and very small coffee cups with big spoons, we had to get up many times just to refill. Omelet not from real eggs, probably eggs powder and no boiled or fried eggs and also not any fresh vegetables of any kind. Cheap cheese and middle class ham, bad sausages, canned fruits and machine Joghurt, bad bread in small slices and very thin toast bread slices. Of course cereals and croissants and that was the only things you could enjoy from that buffet. Friendly staff and clean room was the only plus.

Not worth it. Very disappointed
Television was tube type and only have 3 channels when i was promised to have a sattelite channels. No balcony view and glass partition was broken with only a string to keep us away. Too dangerous if you stay in balcony. Shower temperature is hard to control. Airconditioning has no thermostat. Would not recommend to friends unless they improve their facilities. Wi-fi although its free is so slow. You cant even check emails. Very disappointed overall.

Nice Place
This is a great place to stay, just be aware of the train and metro stations which are key to get you all over Rome. My favorite is Gemelli, about a 15min walk. Room was very clean, had air conditioning, and a balcony. Staff is always great, they'll help you answer any questions you may have. Make sure you check out their restaurant for dinner, for 25 euros a person you can try their Roman menu which will give you appetizer, main course, and dessert. A lot of food for the price you pay, compared to many other places in Rome.

Good accommodation, but that's about it!
Antonio was simply great! He was able to get us a room before our check-in time....which was very appreciated considering we had an afternoon excursion. Prior to our arrival, I had spoken with Jasmine to pre-arrange a private chauffeur to bring us six travelers to Pompei. When chauffeur arrived, he had a little car for two people. So, we were told to enter two cars that brought us to a remote location to have us transferred to a very small mini van. The three of us who sat on the back seat were practically glued to each other (lacking space). Also, there wasn't any air conditioning for our six hour return trip. Plus the van had issues so we had to pull over and waste time....Once we returned to Pineta Palace, we told Antonio and Jasmine. They got us a reduction of $50 euros on a $650 euro ride....not enough according to all of us. I would recommend to anyone to simply take a bus tour to Pompei for guaranteed comfort!! Now, the rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was hot and cold. The location of hotel wasn't the best in the sense that there wasn't anything nearby (shopping or restaurants). Our last night we ate at the hotel restaurant. They didn't give us the proper food and when we disputed it, they didn't want to prepare the proper items ordered. How disappointed we were. What ever happened to "the customer is always right?"
