Worst stay in my whole life ...
This is by far the worst stay I have had in years , from the rude staff , to their plain carelessness in customer service .. Shaun the “manager” is by far the worst “manager” I have encounter in my whole life , we had an issue with someone placing a do not disturb hanger on our door and as a result the room was not done , when we got back st 4 pm I asked if they could fix that , first he doubted what I said , implying I was lying about the fact that some did pull a prank on us with the do not disturb hanger .. any how, here is what he though was the best he could do, he offered to send someone to make ONE of the two beds and leave fresh towels .... one of the two beds only ... really ??? It was a holiday , I understand but if your are already sending someone , do the job !! And if that was not enough , the lady that runs the kitchen , rude as I have never seen someone in the service business , the breakfast bar , was constantly missing something , in the two days we stayed , one time it was bread ( the whole bread cabinet was empty ) another time the scrambled eggs ,the fruit salad , and orange juice .... I understand that sometimes you will run out of stuff , the issue was her attitude when you asked for what was missing ... even her coworkers we’re complaining to the guest about her attitude .... I will never go back to that Hampton inn.

Poor 2.0
Not the same service we used to receive. : (
I do not appreciate sitting in the breakfast area for two hours waiting for someone before I could check in being forced to watch CNN on television. There was no one in the room, and no one walking through the room, but when I changed it to Fox News (barely audible), I was told by management that Fox is not allowed on television because someone complained they are "racist". Really? More people watch Fox News than MSNBC and CNN combined, and CNN promotes more hate than any news station on television. You are in the hotel business, and you are alienating the majority of your clients by this policy you fell victim to because of an agenda of a few people. If you are going to run clients off this way, why don't you rip the television out of the wall and put up a nice picture of The Midway so that you don't offend the majority of the population. Unfortunately this was not our only issue, which I will address later, because people were forced to sleep together, who did not want to be in the same bed, because we were not given the room we booked. While you apologized, you made no effort to move us to another room with 2 beds.

Good 6.0
Bad management and bad service
The hotel looks good but the management and the service was verry bad and not respectfull. As an Hilton Silver Member we where lied by the manager "April" that we will be upgrated and when we arrived next day at the reception, the lady there was talking verry bad saying that April said that we will stay in the same room. They lie to us.Also we were not given the free bottle water at check in for Silver Members. It was our anniversary and we was aspecting a different service. they give nothing to us, even not a cake or a drink! Carpets where verry dirty and our feet were black and lady from reception ssid we should walk with socks in the room! Also it was smelling cigars on the room and corridor and that was the main reason to change the room. They where working on the roof from 8am till 5pm and it was impossiible to telax in the room..parking is werry expenssive 35$/night, water in the pool was verry dirty, we could not use it. Breakfast and people there was good.

We put our do not disturb sign on the door every night. Two mornings at 10am, Housekeeping slipped a note under our door saying you will not get maid service because your do not disturb sign was on your door past 1pm. It was 10am! They didn’t want to do their job. We stayed 4 nights and didn’t get housekeeping done once. Sean, at the front desk was the most pleasant helpful one. He put customer satisfaction 1st. Maybe the others should learn something from him. The others made you seem like an inconvenience to them. We asked for a late checkout due to our flight not leaving until 4:45pm. They said the latest we could stay would be 11:30. Breakfast was complete chaos with all the people down there. They often times ran out of food and wouldn’t replenish for others coming down after 9am.

Hot!
Iam very disappointed in our stay, as we thought since $350 per night would get us a great hotel! Well that was not the case! Ac was not properly working in our room. Plus every hall way and lobby area in the hotel was extremely hot. Maybe they were trying to save electricity but July in San Diego is hot a humid. I had never experienced this in a hotel. Also our room was located right next to the train which was loud. Walls are not sound proof as we could hear everything from other rooms. Parking was horrible we paid for parking and we could not find parking as everything was taken. They should keep track of how many parking spaces they charge for and have better control. The elevator is horrible as it is not properly synced! I had a full Elevator ride through every floor in the heat before I was able to make it to the designated floor! Would never stay here again.
