Sick and Cranky, Just Needed A Quick Place to Stay
When I arrived there was no free parking option, and the hotel's lot was valet only. As it is downtown I did not expect parking to be free but I just was not properly warned of the 35 dollar price tag. Though the hotel was gorgeous and felt high end, the custoner service was almost nonexistent. No one offered to help with my bag (thats fine, I usually decline anyway), but the front desk clerk just checked me in and handed me a key and was about to send me on my way. I had to ask about parking and any other amenities the hotel offered (which were scarce). Any time i passed the front desk I was met with silence. I got the Studio Suite. Kudos to the photographer because I had no clue the room would be so small! Well appointed, but a tight fit. I was by myself with just a carry on though, so I was fine. I don't suggest getting that room with more than 1 person. I was in room 209 specifically, the giant gorgeous window had a view of only a partial roof and an HVAC unit and the window was incredibly drafty. I used the black out curtains to close that off but it took a long time to heat the room up. Bathroom was tiny but water pressure was nice. The door would not close properly unless slammed. Nor open properly without a good hard yank. I was given a booklet on the hotel with the Wifi password but the wifi was unsecured and the booklet said free on-site parking, but that was untrue. The decor they used to tie in the theme was really pleasant, like the key cards and door signs.

No AC and the walls are thin enough, we heard street noise, sirens and our neighbors to the point of disrupting our trip. I won’t stay here again.

Great hotel
What a great hotel. Truly feels like an iconic Seattle feel. Very cool. The artwork is perfectly tacky, that some how is perfect for the setting. The roof top bar/restaurant was amazing with great views of Seattle. The service is fantastic and they even give you free bike rental. Love the Art Deco design in the rooms. Try to get an upper floor and you will have an amazing view. Location is perfect. Right next to the University of Washington, so a great place to stay for games. We did; Go Utes (great game). The coffee shop by the lobby was fun with amazing coffee (in Seattle) and good beer. Super close to iconic restaurants on University street. Loved it!

Fun, unique experience at Graduate Seattle
Loves: the awesome view of the city from the Mountaineering Club on the rooftop; the cozy, art deco-inspired room; the comfy bed and shower with good water pressure; the friendly staff, especially in the very busy bar and at the front desk. Less love for the somewhat thin walls that allow early a.m. conversations to enter your space. Seattle's Graduate is a fun experience, surpassed however by the Graduate in Eugene, OR.
