Not worth of stay
Front Desk: not smiling its like he doesnt want to serve the guest like me, rude, not polite. He a Filipino guy. He didnt even say ‘thank you’ or enjoy my stay’. Breakfast Room: the space for breakfast has 6 tables only, what if there is 2 families using the 2 tables and has kids, then there is no room for other people to sit and eat breakfast, that is why we ate our breakfast inside our room before we checked out. Comlimentary Breakfat: i know this is just an Inn not a 5 star hotel but, atleast serve all your guest a descent food to eat, make more varieties of breakfast. Not all people are eating cereals that is for kids. I suggest bring your own food for breakfast. The only problem is for reheating your food, because you have to go all the way to the front desk just to reheat your food because there is only 1 microwave for everybody. Room: bed is ok, but during the sleep, i can hear the other room watching tv and the other room is using the shower, i can hear them all, so it is hard to sleep. The room has a bad smell too, it is like from the old building. Bathroom: toilet is dirty it is like someone already pooped in our bathroom and didnt flush it properly. Bathroom floor is dirty as well, it is like nobody is scrubbing the floor, there is black in the middle of the tiles. But sink and tub has hold water. Parking space is not enough. Overall: it is good for just overnight stay but for repeat business, i dont think so. Wifi is so terrible. Oct. 7-9, 2017

There were a few good staff at the desk. Smiles and saying hi. But there were a few bad staff as well. One man was doing laundry and had to use the same elevator as my wife who had a stroller. Rather than wait for the next elevator or making sure my wife could make room he started advancing in and rushing her unnessarily. Eventually he gave up. A member of the cleaning staff was also quite grumpy and impatient even though we were booked through the next day. We also found there was no sheets included with the crib. Much of the bedding had stains as well, unfortunately. Overall the public areas of the hotel feel cramped. Only one elevator, only two bellhops and no lounge to speak of. The parking lot is fairly small and it feels kinda goofy with the huge overflow parking beside it that was completely empty. That lot should really be connected. It's fairly low key and minimal for an inn named for West Edmonton Mall. The rooms were sized well enough, though. There is lots of carpet, but that means a lot of dirt and stains that just don't come out too. Obviously the location can't be beat for shoppers needing to walk. This is why we booked the hotel, the price was fairly reasonable and I had to attend a course during the day, leaving my wife with no vehicle and two kids to fend for herself. In that regard it worked perfectly.

Picture is worth more than the room
Our room faced the roadway (90 Ave I believe)and the traffic (cars and people) was loud and heavy. I live next to a busy boulevard at home that is not as loud with commercial traffic. The room was dated and the beds were uncomfortable. The pillows I believe were filled with crumbled up old newspaper. The walls are thin so be sure not to have a big secret to share in your room. The location was decent for access to WEM, however it was misleading on the website as we thought this to be attached in the mall but it was not. The Fantasyland hotel staff called this their sister hotel. It must be the sister that no one wanted to date or talk about at family events.

My stay
The hotel is mid-leading ... thought we were staying at west Ed mall ... thought we had access to a pool or discount at the water park n didn’t have neither ... the complimentary breakfast was not great nor appetizing ... pancake or boiled egg ... the rooms r ok , just cross the road n parking lot to get to the mall 25$/ night for pets ... costed me 75$ to have my dog there That’s kinda crazy

So convenient for a West Edmonton Mall weekend!
This hotel is just about perfect if you're looking to spend your time at West Edmonton Mall. It is directly across the street from the Bourbon Street mall entrance, where all the restaurants are. You can park your car at the hotel and just walk back and forth to the mall and never leave the hotel parking lot. The hotel offers a light continental breakfast with coffee & juice, cereal, toast and yogurt. We prefer something more hearty and the hotel is a 10 minute walk down the street to a Humpty's restaurant. My only complaint is that the pillows in the room were quite hard and my ears kept getting sore from laying on them and the mattresses were very hard and both nights we had poor sleep and very sore backs from the hard mattresses. We also couldn't quite figure out the thermostat - there was one on the wall which didn't seem to affect the room temperature at all so we used the in-room heater/AC against the outside window which was very noisy when it turned on. We had the wall thermostat turned down completely but the temperature still showed approximately 22 degrees in the room. We've stayed here before and will stay here again because the few issues are minor compared with the perks.
