First off, I booked two different reservations because of confusion with time difference. I booked one via the hotel website and the other via Expedia. Everything was paid for already but when my auntie arrived, she had a horrible check in experience. No one knew their shit or what was going on. She had a horrible experience since she landed in HNL by herself and your hotel made it worse for her. There’s was NO help with her luggage. No smiles. Nothing. When she finally got to her room, it was filthy. I can keep going on. BUT when I finally made it here on the last night before check out, I too experienced the same.NO Help! The ONLY help I received was from the lady at the counter that night. She was able to accommodate us with the RIGHT room because my auntie was given the wrong one when I clearly booked a room with 2 beds. The lady help us although she still had that “I don’t know this and that and why this is happening attitude”, she still helped. The room smells of mildew and unclean. The fridge was not working. And the place is just so outdated and ran down. I mean.. the G4S guy had to deliver us blankets. There was no bell service. So two old women and myself had to haul luggage up and down ourselves. I can keep going but this whole experience was ugly. I would never recommend this place to anyone ever. It was the worst hotel experience Ever. The others that gave this hotel a “good” rating must drunk or high.

All I can say is don’t book this hotel. When you first walk into the room you have to put you room key card to get the lights or electricity in the room. So the bed was pushed up against the wall with nasty curtains that a huge crock roach was crawling on. So I called room service to kill it for my mom and I and the security guard came up and took care of it. Also I booked a hotel room for two and we go a full size bed. Then I turn on the ac in the room and I had to charge my phone to even navigate around Oahu because my phone was dead. So my mom and I finally squeezed into the horrible bed against the wall that a roach was crawling on before. I tried turning off the light with the switch but it wouldn’t turn off. To turn off the light you have to take the room key card out of the wall. However what I didn’t realize until the morning was that it also didn’t charge my phone, I didn’t even have the phone working that the hotel provides next to the bed, a clock or a/c..... so you have to choose from sleeping with the lights on or not having any electricity. Horrible, horrible experience. I say book the pearl hotel which is around the same price and location or the ambassador which is also the same price but a few blocks away. Expedia should also remove this hotel from their website because I trusted that I would be staying at at least a semi decent place. When you don’t have electricity in your room to even make a phone call if an emergency happens then what????

    Fair 4.0
The hotel was centrally located to all the main attractions, shops, and restaurants. However, the surrounding area looks a little sketchy. There are homeless people and abandoned buildings around. The hotel is ok, no bells and whistles, which is fine since we didn’t plan on staying in the hotel all day. We just came back to the room to sleep. The beds are comfy but the room is dated. There were water stains on the wall and the sofa had stains on it as well. The furniture has paint chipped off, wall paper peeling and the bathroom is super tiny. The breakfast buffet was disgusting to say the least. Overall, this hotel is not worth it. Pay the extra money to stay at a nicer hotel, or do what my family of 4 did and only come back at night to sleep and wake up the next day and stay out until it’s time for bed again! Definitely would not stay here again or recommend. What’s worse is that some men from the neighborhood followed my husband into the hotel to rob and attack him and the hotel stood by and did nothing. The hotel even tried to insinuate it was my husband’s fault. He had to ask the hotel to call the police. The hotel’s response was they weren’t sure if the other people were guests of the hotel and everyone needed to be treated fairly... huh? Even if they were guests it’s nit safe to have violence in the hotel so why would you condone keeping a violent guest at the hotel. Never again...please beware!

Great Breakfast and close to Waikiki Beach
About a 5 block walk to the central part of Waikiki Beach, the hotel lets you borrow a beach chair and towel every time you go. They also have an included breakfast that is an amazing mix of American and Asian breakfast tastes. Fresh pancakes (it's someone's job to make them on the spot) sausages and ham, scrambled and boiled eggs, oatmeal and cereal, noodles, rice and vegetables, kimchi, hot sauce, cabbage, kidney beans, muffins... the choices seemed endless to me. They also have videos to rent with your DVD card. (There is a resort fee for all of this, but it seems small for all you get) The front desk folks were always friendly and exhibited the "aloha" spirit of Hawaii. Nice open lobby for reading, conversing or waiting to be picked up. Small friendly lounge with happy hour. The pool is small, and only really possible to soak in, but is open until 10 p.m., so might work for evening relaxation. My room was comfortable and clean but nothing special. However, the view from the lanai over the canal was wonderful. Bathroom shower dripped a bit, in fact the bathroom is where the hotel shows its age... but if you're looking for a low-cost, comfortable stay, I don't think you can do better. I'll definitely return!

There weren’t any more hotel parking spots available upon checking in ($25 a day!), and were told to find street parking. This was non-existent or metered with coins (running down to refill?). We ended up having to pay $32 to park the first day and then got a hitel spot the next. Our expedia room was a closet the first night—literally! There was not even a drawer or a chair in the room. Just the bed, tv, microwave and refrig (benefits). The shower was standup mini stall—which is not bad—but it only “misted” your body and was tedious work to rinse off —especially your shampoo and conditioner. Since we were herefrom an outwr Island for my spine surgery I was required to bath the night before and morning of surgery. We went down to desk after our first night and asked about getting a room with a working shower snd bath. They obliged us and at noon we return from our outing to find they had moved us into a very nice room. The new room had a king size bed (which is what we’re used to at home), a DRESSER, a CHAIR, side bed tables, and all the ither included amenities—including a bathtub with a shower! Very pleased! I only wish we could’ve started our stay that way, as it was as our final night so I didn’t bother unpacking my suitcase only to repack it before surgery in the morning. At least I went in for spine surgery nice and clean! Oh. The view from the new room was awesome also! We had ocean and mountain views at the same time! People watching from the lanai was awesome.
