Amora Beach Resort Phuket

Very ordinary service but nice hotel

Bangtao beach area great family location. Resort is older style with some renovations happening.

The bed is god awful and will hurt you. It feels like they put a down mattress topper on top of two separate twin box springs pushed together. You can feel the edges of the box springs and feel that they’re also pretty old and scrunched down in some spots.

Quiet location but plenty of amenities in the hotel. I have booked another visit in September.

Appearance is old but very practical and handy hotel, near by seaside, quiet, big swimming pool and under the trees. Breakfast is well enough. Beach is spectacular, I strongly advice Amora hotel for everyone and I’ll come back again...

The superior rooms are HUGE! Great views from the balconies, cool art and retro decor in the rooms, and spectacular location on Bangtao Beach. Tons of free lounge chairs in shady area near the beach with tons of massage, drink, and food options nearby. Unfortunately some parts of the rooms are in need of maintenance and our hot water was inconsistent.

Extremely disappointed by the property booked through Expedia. Probably due to the low price offered by Expedia, the room we ended up with was probably in the least desirable location. The room was a standard hotel room, nothing like depicted in the pictures but was comfortable and clean except stained spoons and dirty cushion covers. All following points were reported but nothing changed. The cleaner’s room was outside our room with a trim phone that rang incessantly from about 7:50am and sometimes every two minutes throughout the day. One evening the industrial style toilet flush would not work as there was no water available in the room. When it did return there was no hot water in sink or shower for over 12 hours. The WiFi could only be used successfully between about 4-6am as it was so slow, it failed to connect at most times. The card slot to activate the electricity had a blue strobe light active whenever a card was inserted. This lit up the room at night and had to be covered with a cloth to be able to sleep. Breakfast was included in the price but for us, it wasn’t worth the money. Nothing was labeled, was very non-descript in appearance. Bacon was a congealed mass of fat, nothing crispy. Three types cereal and only raw oatmeal. Fruit juice had the taste of sweet, reconstituted powder. The ’welcome’ drink offered was a fruit cocktail of mixed, leftover breakfast juice. Tip - We found it worthwhile to pay for and have breakfast in the adjacent hotel

The resort was partially renovated, so we had to move rooms twice until we had a room that was modernized and had a clean bathroom. The staff was understanding and some of them were very warm, but mostly they were not very friendly. They also do not have chairs down on the beach and very few chairs available around the pool.

price more affortable than laguna. free shuttle and breakfast box provided for phuket marathon runner is a surprise. great service and room is very clean
