Still a Gem of a Hotel!
Going in, we knew the property has seen better days. This hotel was THE place to be during its prime. However, despite signs of aging and less than optimal maintenance in the rooms, this is still the Grand Dame of Davao City. Customer Service is outstanding, the grounds are truly fantastic and its location is tops. We knew there were a couple of newer hotels that we could have chosen but the call of Davao Waterfront Insular could not be ignored! Loved our stay!

First room shower was leaking consistently, water on floor in bathroom, no hot water, got moved to anotherroom and still no hot water, overpriced for old run down rooms, very very poor quality rooms, ill never stay gere again, there are much better rooms for the price, and the food prices are double compared to otger hotels here in davao, I’ve been to the phillipines 4 times this year, and this is by dar the worse hotel, the buffet was very bad service, out of food everyday, except for the rice, cone find out for yourself,
