Worthwhile venue to enjoy all Whistler has to offer
A week in Whistler to celebrate grandson's 21st birthday. A perfect situation well placed for all the amenities in the village. Very cheery and helpful staff. Great outdoor pool and hot tub, both heated, plus a dry heat sauna. Slightly irrational cleaning routine but super comfortable bed, really wanted to take it home with us! A three star rating, with a bit more effort 4 stars would be a doddle.

4/10 Fair

Nor for us, but apparently good for hooligans
I picked this place b/c it was in the Village but off the main strip, hoping it would be quiet from all the drunk partiers. I thought its location was why it was a bit cheaper. Alas, it was full of partying college age kids, some who don’t care about other guests. Another couple we knew stayed there at the same time were aggressively harassed at 2:30am (loud banging on their doors, people aggressively trying to get into their room, thinking it’s hilarious that they scared the occupants). They thought it was so funny, they decided to repeat it at 7:30am as they went out, truly frightening the female occupant who was alone at the time. When the couple complained to the front desk, they found out that most of the staff are the same age as the jerks and took a very lenient view on disturbances, including the loud blaring music and partying late into the night. Luckily for us, we were spared most of that noise, and we were not harassed. If you are a young person looking for affordable ok-ish hotel, this place is for you. If you are a middle aged couple looking for a quiet place, I suggest somewhere else. I will not be coming back. The room itself was comparable to other economical hotels, and was reasonably clean, albeit some dried toothpaste on the bathroom wall and door. The bed was on the firmer side. The pillows were uncomfortable for me - too high to sleep on your back, too flat for side-sleeping. The young woman who checked us in was quite lovely and competent.

Great stay at Aava hotel. Conveniently located, clean and easy check-in/check-out. The room was a little small but was still manageable.

Terrible value for money, not clean
Please do not stay here. The bathrobes in our closet were used, wet, and dirty. The sheet had a hole the size of a loonie. Housekeeping was horrible; it looked like they rinsed our glasses in the sink and put them back. The building is in disrepair. I have never paid so much money to stay in such a horrible hotel. Very disappointing!
