Extra clean, extra spacious, super comfortable
Beyond impressed with this hotel’s covid practices. There’s a list in the room of everything they sanitize. Even the remote is sanitized and placed in a sealable bag. They wipe every handle, button etc. Rooms are huge. Comfortable. Clean. No one was there since Santa Fe was essentially closed down so I had a wing to myself. Love noon checkout too. Brown bag breakfast due to Covid which I preferred.

Ok hotel, but not that pet-friendly
This is definitely a no frills, bare essentials hotel. I was passing through Santa Fe & just needed a place to stay overnight. After checking out several hotels, I chose Cities of Gold hotel because of the price & the pet fee not being too bad. However, during check-in, I was informed that they only have 2 pet rooms, and they’re almost twice as much as the price listed on hotels.com. This was incredibly frustrating, since I only booked this hotel because of the low price & there was no way to select “pet room” on hotels.com at time of booking. Luckily the lady worked with me. I was about to leave otherwise. And this hotel is about 18 mules out of Santa Fe, so that would not have made me happy, to have to go back into Santa Fe. Once in my room, it was ok. Decent as far as cleanliness goes. However, the walls are so thin! I could hear the whole conveyor the people in the room next to me. I couldn’t fall asleep at an early time due to this. Then was awaken at 5am when they left.

Safe, clean & sufficient
Not bad for the money in this time of crisis. The bag breakfast and Piñon nut coffee was safe and sufficient. We just needed a safe clean place for the night on our way home to El Paso.

The property is nice, but as we found out travelocity customer dont get the best rooms. We had an over flowing toilet and though they did move us to the 2nd floor promptly we discovered the same room was much nicer and the pillows were much softer and we got a bed spread on the bed that we didnt have in our 1st floor room. The bathroom was nicer as well that the 1st floor bathroom.

Discrepancy is price
The price was very different from the on line price. Through hotel.com it was $180. Through the hotel it was only $150. Extra 15$ a day and I had to argue just to get bfast vouchers. I didn’t think that was right. I’d like to get $30 back and I didn’t get my 2 nights credit for the last time I was there in March

We’ve stayed here before...several years ago. They have done a superb job of updating and refurbishing...very clean. The COVID cleaning crew was doing a thorough job in rooms that had been occupied so we had no worries. They offer a free go bag (fruit & yogurt, coffe ) for breakfast. On site restaurant is closed due to COVID, but there are several restaurants near by. Very friendly.
