We stayed at this property having stayed previously at Chateau de Gilly - what a let down. We drove up the beautiful driveway to see a devine Chateau - we were excited. On walking into the reception, thats where it ended. We were checked into what can only be described as an antiquated dog box in the main Chateau. It was as if the room was picked up from the '60s. We expressed our disappointment, and were moved to the next level of rooms in a different building ( having to pay an additional $100 euro ), this was only slightly better, and if it wasn't for us having prepaid we would have checked out and gone else where. The receptionist did his best, which we acknowledge and appreciate, its not the staff's issue its the property. We dined at the Chateau, this was a lovely dining experience - the food and wine second to none, just very expensive. Dinner almost cost as much as the accommodation!!!!! All in all, who ever owns the property - spend some money on it to bring it into the current era. Its a beautiful building and should be treated so-please be respectful of its history and allow guests who stay to walk away with pleasant memory and enjoyable stay. For what you pay for its a ridiculous amount of money and definitely not value for money. Take a leaf out of Chateau de Gilly's book - they have nailed it, shame this property lets the group down. We won't be staying here again and wouldn't recommend the property - sorry.

Very nice building set in large and beautifully maintained grounds. Just in need of refurbishing given that certain elements look a little tired

Quiet and comfortable stay in a very large (slightly faded) country chateau with beautiful parkland. Good for a coule of days.

Beautiful location and surroundings. Check in was very nice and friendly. We were very frustrated with the dinner. While the food was delicious the service was lacking. We waited over 30 minutes to be able to order our first drinks and another 15 minutes to have the bottle arrive. The staff was courteous but not helpful. One person in our party was trying to decide between two dinners and asked the server about the dishes. The response was one is seafood and one is poultry, not helpful. We thought that our reservation included breakfast and were shocked to see a charge of 25€/person. The breakfast was fine but no better than a continental breakfast anywhere else. We waited for 15 minutes for eggs to be brought out. What we expected to be a highlight of our trip ended up being underwhelming and pretentious.

The room was gorgeous and well maintained! Our only complaint was that the hotel food wasn’t so good. Also when we were there in mid Oct there were quite a few stink bugs everywhere- it prevented us from being able to open the windows in the room as a handful would sneak in when we did. Overall amazing experience and would stay again!

We are traveling with our large dog through france and this beautiful chateau was just right for our stay as we booked a room which is located outside of the castle we can easily walk through the forest and enjoy limited contact with other persons. The second room choice is recommended. The staff is kind and the wine and dinner pairing is exceptional they really know the nuances of the flavor profiles in the region. We would stay here again.

The room we were given was basically far too small, at the very top of the castle requiring climbing stairways after stairways. Not that optimal as an experience. On a positive note, the staff is helpful and good customer service overall.
