Overwhelmed Front Desk
This is my third stay in the Montmartre section of Paris. My first stay was at Mercure Hotel ( right next door to Ibis), second was at hotel 29 Lepic ( small boutique hotel on Rue Lepic) and third was at the Ibis Montmartre. Although the price is very reasonable and the kitchen staff was sweet and helpful , the front desk staff is really poor. First, emailing them and following up with a phone call to reserve a taxi at the airport when arriving from the U.S. They had no taxi waiting. They told me I should've contacted them again to follow up when they didn't respond to my email ( after I called them and they told me to email with details) Second, after requesting 3 times to have two twin covers as I was sharing a bed with my daughter who pulls the covers off all night they never got us what I asked for. I left two messages with the girl at the front desk to tell housekeeping because apparently housekeeping is not available in the evenings. Third, they never answered the phone at the front desk and told me it was because they were too busy !! Really , for a week ? Forth, I emailed the manager and complained about the lack of responsiveness and he never responded . What would they do in an emergency? I guess you'd be stuck in the room without any help. I would not stay here again !!

I booked a twin room for 3 nights for my friend and i when we visited paris for the Christmas markets. The staff spoke great english and were friendly and couldnt do enough for us. We were able to leave our luggage in the luggage room on our last day after we had checked out so we could make the most of our time in the city. The breakfast was brilliant, much more than we had hoped for and kept us full until the evening. The hotel was easy to get to with the metro nearby and the local resturants and shops were much more affordable than other parts of the city. The pizza place across the road was particularly good. The Sacré-Cœur and moulin rouge were also within walking distance. Our room was basic and in need of a little tlc but was immaculately clean. The bed was comfortable and i slept like a log! A kettle in the room would have been a welcomed addition as would a safe however there was a safe at the front desk which could be used. Overall this hotel was perfect for our city break. Yes the room was basic but it offered us everything we really needed and enabked us to use the money saved on rhe hotel on the attractions.

Didn’t meet expectation
Positives: - Close proximity to good restaurants and the nearest metro station (Place De Clichy) is at a walking distance. - Staff at reception was very helpful in getting acquainted with the navigation to the major attraction sites in Paris, and arranging a taxi on time in the wee hours at the time of checkout (appreciate that). Negatives: - We had a tiring journey to the hotel on a hot summer day. During the time of checkout, I asked for a glass of water to drink - the person at reception didn’t take the request gracefully, and rather when he got the glass, glass was just 10% full, as if sending a signal that I should not have requested for that at first place. We didn’t feel welcome at the hotel. - There was no locker in the room. - The temperature regulator didn’t work fine and at night, we felt little suffocated. - The breakfast menu was limited. Also, just a suggestion to keep breakfast till 10:30 AM. - The towels were not clean as per our expectations. - The WC in bathroom didn’t look like it was maintained well. - There was no drinking water, water kettle, slippers available. - Not worth the money being charged.

Would recommend for short stays
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with my sister. GOOD: The customer service was great as the employees are very welcoming. It is in a great location very close to the metro and many lovely restaurants. Only 1 hour walk away from the Eiffel Tower which is good if you want to see the streets of Paris. The standard room I stayed in is quite small but you get what you pay for I guess! The rooms were kept clean with a cleaner coming in every morning. BAD: the breakfast was €10 each and finished at 10am so I decided to get my breakfast at a local bakery instead. The cleaner came into our room whilst we were sleeping in the morning so make sure you hang the ‘we are sleeping’ sign on the door not just the ‘do not disturb’. There isn’t a safe in the room so identify padlocks to secure your suitcase whilst you’re out.

Ryder Cup
I booked this hotel for my trip to the Ryder Cup in France. I called the hotel on the Thursday prior to my arrival to confirm that I would be attending the Ryder Cup on the Saturday and would not be at the hotel till late. On arrival we were advised that our room had been given away and we did not have a booking. The staff then advised that they had booked us room at another hotel. We were sent there in a taxi (paid by the hotel) and advised that we needed to leave this hotel in the morning and come back to the this location ion the morning. to say I was disappointed with the ibis Paris Montmartre would be an under statement. I really think that I should be recompensed for my extra travel expense and really would never stay here again.
