Great Hotel
To visit the Pyramids it's best to stay close by and have a pyramid view room.

Great view but service could be better
We only stay for 2 nights but we tried to find some ware to get b/fast or lunch and all we could find within about 1 kilometre was a kebab shop. The drinks and food at the hotel is 4.5 star prices but the hotel is no better than 3.5 stars. We will not be ever coming back to Egypt but if we did we would look else ware. Neil and Joan Pritchard

Excellent location but poor management
Excellent location. Poor management. No water in rooms. Worst quality toilet paper. No mini bar. Reception staff unhelpful (except for Youssef who was great). Wifi in lobby cuts out.

Great view but not as good as other Le Meridians
Room looked over the Pyramids which was amazing! Room is lovely - tidy and clean. Staff are very friendly, however painfully slow! They often don't come over to help or take orders, get you the bill or get orders correct, and if you want service at the front desk..... forget about it! Literally expect to wait 30 mins before they will get to you. Fact. This happened to us 4 times in a 3 day stay. Why I'm not sure. However they are very friendly when they do finally get to you. To be honest I was very disappointed as definitely not up to Le Meridian standard. However it was a nice area to be in and I can't compare to the other hotels in area.

A bit seedy, great view if they honor your booking
Upon check-in, a man cut in line and held a business transaction w/ the desk man. I told him I thought that was inappropriate and he told me the guy was a regular guide and had been waiting. Every time I went by the desk, there were business transactions taking place and large amounts of cash being handled. Hotel tour bookings are VERY expensive. Internet at the hotel was horrible and not working all the time. Hotel staff was patronizing to me after I had brought up men cutting in line for business transactions. Even though I booked and paid for a specific type of room, I had to argue and be steadfast in refusing a different "deal" for a different room. A ground floor terrace is NOT a room with a balcony and pyramid views! The room smelled badly and to make matters worse, hotel staff decided one morning that paint thinner needed to be used and it was so bad my lungs felt they were on fire. Housekeeping cleaned the room in 5-10 minutes and didn't vacuum. The rug and bathroom were soiled when I arrived. Restaurants were friendly, but need wait training. They need to tell you what they're out of and learn to make both drink and food items that are LISTED on their menus. The hotel uses acar services hat tries to sell you extra trips and stops by souvenir places throughout your ride. Tour guide booked by the hotel was not certified Egyptologist and was nice, but average and constantly concerned about his ratings.
