Mixed feelings about this place. Excellent friendly staff. A nice clean decent size room with balcony. Good WiFi. Super comfortable beds. Good secure free car parking But it was let down by no safe in the room as advertised. Was told that they could get one down in 5 minutes but it wouldn't be bolted down so that would be useless to me. Foxtel sports channels were advertised but tv wouldn't receive them. On enquiring the receptionist came down to the room and she couldn't get them either. She checked with the manager who apparently said that they were having some temporary difficulties with the foxtel and wouldn't be sorted that day. We actually had to go out of town for two nights and when we came back to brisbane we stayed at this hotel again, in the same room and still couldn't get foxtel so draw your own conclusions My biggest concern was when we came back from town in the afternoon our room door was unlocked. Could also do with more toiletries in the bathroom. One tiny block of soap for two guys to use in the basin and the shower is penny pinching to the extreme To the manager if you read this. Give all your staff a pat on the back. They are the reason I may stay there again

Overnight Traveller Only
Have stayed in this Motel many times and have noted a continual downward spiral , for the overnight stay and convenience to the city its fine. Definitely have to question the rating as I feel its below par for a Best Western , and I feel qualified to speak on this as spend 100 plus nights in motels P/A across the country. The meals are fairly plain and I ordered the chicken schnitzel which is supposed to be breast meat ?? , first time I've every seen the purplish colour from the breast as this is normally from the thigh. Kudos to the person who slices the chicken as they should be a plastic surgeon being able to cut this thin and still have the piece of meat remain in one piece. I received a beer that was flat and out of date ( Which they replaced without question ) . Extremely disappointed as had planned to stay a number of nights next year and now will be looking elsewhere as not prepared to stay 4-5 nights in a row

Hotel with plenty of lost potential
This could be a great hotel. Its back balconies have fantastic views of the Brisbane downtown skyline. The rooms are big, but the advantages stop there. - The walk back from downtown seems reasonable but it isn't. If you are in good shape and can climb steep hills, you wouldn't mind it after a day out discovering the town. Otherwise stay away. - There are very few conveniences in the neighborhood. You would have to walk a good distance before finding anything of interest. - The room received no service one day. Only the bed was made the day after that (no cleaning). Personnel is young and quite inexperienced and needs a lot of training. - The price of water and snacks is expensive. The hotel figures that you will wake up at night thirsty and hungry and that no businesses are open. So it overcharges. Lots of wasted potential. With minor investment in training for staff and less greed, this hotel would be great.

Not worthy of a 4-star rating
It is a very small hotel and I would not rate it 4-star. The Hotel itself was very messy and got us somewhat disappointed. We pre-booked the hotel including continental breakfast, apparently this was not confirmed to the hotel by Expedia and after some discussions and showing proof of the booking, we were allowed to have the "continental breakfast", which was just toast, cereal and fruits.. very disappointing. Location wise, it is very uninteresting, although it looks decent on Google Maps, it is on top of a big hill, and if you don't have a car you will be having a bad time hiking up and down the hill constantly as there is nothing really around the hotel, just a busy road. The room was alright, nothing special. The beds were good and comfortable, the rooms have no views basically and the shower had a low water flow. Overall experience was very disappointing, wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a more convenient and central location as well as if you are looking for a decent continental breakfast. I have been in two-star hotels that looked much better than this hotel and with a much bigger offering in their continental breakfast.

Very good 8.0
Nice and clean and comfortable and well priced.
Great price for a triple room. Room very clean, all the usual services provided. Only issue was the safe in the room wouldn't work even with the start code that was provided. We were on a ground floor with a verandah door opening to the communal courtyard area, so would be better if a fly screen key was provided to allow glass door to be left open whilst fly screen could be locked at night for fresh air. It was too late at night to ask if this was possible. Well ventilated bathroom. Easy check-in, as it should be. Quite quiet at night although not many guests. Didn't need to use the food service so can't comment. Street parking out front free on weekends but side streets have unlimited parking every day (reception staff didn't mention that part!!).
