Riding on reputation
Old rooms with minimal upgrade to rooms. Fitout was cheap and not well done. Bed rolled away from us, when you sat up in bed to watch TV. Sink leaked and old bath room was so tired, and years of silastic all visible to see and not applied with any skill, just silastic on more silastic. Shower screen detached so when you opened and closed door it separated. Was also a delightful experience when checking in after midnight that night staff was trying to enforce a 10am checkout, and inflexible on permitting an 11am checkout. To her credit she acquiesced, but really when you’re tired, do you have to make it hard. This has been our regular stopover for years. Now we will look to newer and better appointed accommodation
