The room is very small and there’s no balcony at the first room and was stuffy. We requested for a change which can only be effective the next day but still just long window not as per picture. Very basic hotel

We Arrived early and they kept our bags for us which was a nice welcome. Apparently there is major construction going on so a lot of noise. There was a bad smell on the 4th floor rugs were really worn really dated, perhaps that will be next to be remodeled. Worst was room 400 because it was next to The elevator. It wasn’t people noise but every time the lift was used we heard it like a humming motor. Otherwise quiet. Bathrooms are new and modern but decorations did not match again perhaps there are changes coming with the remodel. The staff was very nice. The shower was dangerous. The floor of the shower was like ice( slippery) when wet so very dangerous. No rubber non slip pad available. It would be nice to have a coffee machine and refrigerator ( only can heat up hot water). We stayed ; nights do we would often visit to rest during the day but our room had only a desk chair to sit on so we had to sit on the bed. The location was fabulous. I hope this is helpful to ask questions before booking.

I woke up to itching all over breaking out in some form of rash or hives. When I looked next to me in the bed I saw mouse poop. There were bugs on my bathroom floor the next day as well. The whole building smells terrible. I know Barcelona is old but this is almost my 20th stay in the city and never have I experienced such disgust.
