Was good then turned bad
The hotel is great. Looks like they have made upgrades and changes and it very well caters to everyone including kids which was a plus. We were given a room on the 1st floor next to an alley behind the arena next to the hotel. That was a problem! We stayed here a week, Thursday night we couldn’t fall asleep until past 2 am. Our son kept waking up scared and crying for the loud noises in the area next to us. There were people being so loud and with bikes, called the front desk and informed us they had notified the cops. The next day we were so tired we woke up later than the usual and were about to leave the hotel. Complaint to front desk and they changed our room. At that time we had to gather our items and in a hurry change rooms so we can finally go out to the city and explore. I let them know the air was not working and to our dismay, when we came back they took our personal items and changed them to another room. We were really surprised and upset by this action. The hotel collected our email and didn’t bother to inquire if we felt comfortable with this handling of our items. The room temperature is not comfortable, the AC was not working properly and were given fans. From this on the staff was not the friendliest, as is we were at fault for our complaint. You can tell they talked about us when we were around which made it very awkward and uncomfortable to be around. I liked the propert but the staff is not properly trained for complaint resolution.

NICE HOTEL....BUT
Had a nice stay , the room was a little tight for the four of us but the bed was quite confortable. Mini friidge in room was restocked with water everyday, which was very helpful. Breakfast was very nice, with lots of choices. Hotel and breakfast staff were helpful ,friendly and spoke fluent english. Here's the "BUT"... we had to check out very early, prior to breakfast opening and the front desk said that they would give us something to take with us when we left, which they did. Not one of the three people I spoke to about this told me that there would be a charge for this since breakfast was included and we were missig it. However when I got home I found a 20eu charge on my credit card for the food. We had been travelling for two weeks and twice before had the same situation and those hotels supplied us with a takeawy breakfast at no charge so I didnt expect that there would have been one here either, I might not have minded paying a fee for them ,but certainly should have been told that I was goint o be charge by any of the 3 people at the hotel I spoke to about this. I sent an email to the hotel to complain about the inappropriate charge but received no response. This really soured my opinion of the hotel

Very good 8.0
Nice Hotel
Just came back from four nights at the Novotel Bercy. Location was good...just a block from the Bercy Metro and a few blocks from Gare de Lyon station. We were a family of four, so the room was a lttle tight but the room was nice and the bed was quite comfortable. There is a very small fridge in the room that they re-stock with bottled water every day , which was quite convenient since we were walking around all day and we always had a bottle or two of water with us.One thing that was a little strange was that the toilet was in a seperate room from the bath/shower/sink ,which might have been very convenient so that one person could use the the shower while another was using the toilet...however there was no sink in the room that had the toilet so you then had to go out into the bathrrom to wash your hands. Also the toilet flush was quite weak. Breakfast was very good ,with many hot and cold items to choose from...including fresh croissants and chocolate croissants, fruits ,cereals eggs, meats yoghurts, etc. Both the breakfast staff and the front desk staff were very friendly, helpful and fluent in english. We had to check out very early, before breafast opened, and when I asked , they supplied us withe four very nice boxed breakfast meals to take away with us. All in all a very nice stay

Exceptional 10.0
Wonderful hotel near metro
My boyfriend and I had such a pleasant experience with this hotel. This was our first visit to Paris and everything in the hotel was as described. Our room was nice, cozy and clean. We took an early flight in and got to the hotel around 9:30am. Check in wasn't until 2pm, but they were able to provide us with a room by 11am. Room service was prompt every day. We even had to turn them away a few times while we slept in. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and provided excellent quick service. The service provided from the front desk staff made our trip that much more enjoyable. They were always available when we needed them and responded quickly to our requests. This hotel is in a great location! We felt comfortable coming and going, even late at nights. Its located next to an arena, but that posed no problem for us. We were never awaken by any loud music. Even on a night where they had an event at the arena, the area was pretty quiet even though it was packed with people. The crowd dispersed quickly and we were able to easily make our way to the hotel. It's extremely close to the metro 6, which takes you pretty much anywhere, and tons of shops/restaurants within walking distance. We had such a great time here and will be staying here again very soon.

Exceptional 10.0
My family and I were visiting Paris for the week it was my mother's birthday and we actually arrived a day ahead of our booking. ( my fault on that one) the hotel was very accommodating and was able to get us a room within an hour of our arrival. Later that evening as we were walking into the hotel my mother tripped and fell on her face literally. Her lip tripled in size, the next morning hotel management called her a doctor and it was at this time I learned how much better European healthcare is compared to the U.S.A. but that's a tale for another day. the doctor prescribed medication and the hotel took care of all of it. I have never experienced anything like that in my life and I travel quite a bit. I don't have children but every day they had a clown or a guy dressed like jack sparrow making balloon animals. they also have interactive touch screen tables for children to play on.every morning they provide a reasonably priced breakfast buffet with some of the best Madeline's you will ever have. the rooms for the hotel are clean and comfortable and the staff is attentive and kind . We didn't spend much time in the hotel beyond sleeping and breakfast so no clue about a pool or workout area but what I did experience was amazing
