Not welcoming hotel
The hotel is centrally located but the interaction with staff was disappointing. Four staff members watched us move our suitcases up the stairs and into reception and no help. Not even a welcome and hello from a single staff member. No greetings from staff on the four of five days we stayed. Le Meridien as a brand is one my favorites this one is not. The rooms have broken plugs, wall paper coming off the wall coupled with rude staff. Sadly a dissatisfied stay.

Not a 4 star establishment
The first night we were in the hotel we received a notice that water would be shut off from 7 AM - 5 PM for the entire hotel on July 28th. We were pretty upset since we didn't plan on waking up at 6 AM for water on our vacation. That being said, we woke up early to get our showers, and later that day found out the water wasn't going to be shut off at all. There was absolutely no communication regarding this change from the hotel, and we only knew because we overheard someone at the front desk. That same morning we woke up at 6 AM we decided to order room service the night before. We ordered 3 orders of the following (verbatim), "Whole wheat bread topped with Smoked ham, spinach, poached egg finished +light Hollandaise sauce." What we received was nothing more than a poached egg thrown on a plate w/ a piece of ham. I even have a picture showing how ridiculous it was attached to this review. I decided to call room service because there was no way I was paying for a breakfast that I did not order. I relayed the message to someone at the restaurant that I would not be paying for a breakfast that was incorrect and explained why. About 10 minutes later the manager for the restaurant gives me a call, and instead of conceding that the item was wrong asked me what was wrong with it. I explained again that what I ordered was not what was brought to the room, and he began making excuse after excuse and blaming the hotel for the incorrect breakfast card.

Poor choice
The entire facility look and feels old. Bed was uncomfortable and room walls super thin. I received a complaint by simply conducting a late night work call. I would not suggest staying here if you want good sleep as the "black out" curtains do not block out any sunlight.

If you stay on a room next to the elevator or even one room away from the elevator, you'll be hearing the annoying motor going on all night. It sounds like someone dragging a heavy luggage back and forth outside the hallway - all night.

Overnight stay
Service was outstanding. Had an appointment at the hospital in the morning and to avoid traffic in the morning, we drove in from the Laurentides the day before as my appointment was at 9:15am. When I arrived at the hotel I informed them of this and asked if I could keep my vehicle in their parking and that I may not be back before the checkout time, they said no problem and that there would not be an extra charge. That was excellent. The room, personnel were all excellent. Next time i have to go back for an appointment I will be reserving a room at that hotel again
