Very good
Good enough for a weekend trip.
Room & bed were comfortable, though the room was hot and there was no air con / temperature control. There was an opening window (though needed to close it for city-centre noise!) and a desk fan (which was quiet enough to leave on through the night). Bathroom was adequate, though small bathtub with shower over had quite high sides which were difficult to climb over when towelling off wet limbs (there was no support rail to hold) and there was no hook for hanging a bathrobe, or towel to be re-used. Wardrobe had some of previous occupant’s clothes left in it (fortunately, unused!), so clearly hadn’t been thoroughly checked by housekeeping. When we rang desk about this my partner had to take them down, rather than someone coming to collect them. In-room coffee / milk supplies ran out, but a note for the maid produced plenty of restocking. No biscuits though! Restaurant was ok (relaxed casual rather than “fine dining”), but the restaurant and bar/lobby areas were cold - air con too high or drafts from the doors? Buffet breakfast was ok, though not as extensive as might have been expected. Staff were very keen to clear, so likely to lose your table to other guests if you returned to the buffet for toast / croissant or more coffee, unless you did so separately so that one of you held the fort! Location is good, with onsite parking facility and lots of choice for eating / drinking (and shopping, if you’re into that) close by. We would stay there again for a week

Our stay at the Park Inn by Radisson Cardiff
We stayed here on the weekend starting on the 28th July. We had to check in late and check in was very fast and efficient and the staff were friendly. The first thing we noticed as we got off the elevator was how incredibly muggy and hot the hotel was, we looked forward to the Air Con in the room which was stated on our booking confirmation. There was no air con and only a small fan. What also exacerbated the heat was the fact that the bottled water wasn't replaced during our stay. The room was nice enough, clean, the sink was cracked but the rest of the bathroom was in good condition. The shower had a mind of it's own and changed from hot to cold despite being set to warm. I liked the fact that the desk had plug sockets with USB sockets, although on the subject of sockets, it would be nice to have sockets on both side of the bed - not a big issue, just a suggestion. The rooms were cleaned to a good standard by house keeping - although after the first housekeeping visit, a long black hair had been left in the tub - which didn't belong to either of us haha If you're going for breakfast, head down early and claim a table as it does get busy - we enjoyed the breakfast, particularly the sausages. If you're after a quiet hotel, this may not be for you. We booked it knowing it was in City Centre and the "ambient" noise of the area reflects this - this wasn't an issue for us though. All in all, it's a good hotel, friendly staff and great central location.

Poor
Extremely uncomfortable bed and very poor shower
We were very disappointed with the room and facilities. Given the room rate we paid for 4 people, the king bed, which was more a double bed size, had spring mattress that was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on and resulted in me and my wife having back aches. The sofa bed was even worse for my 2 adult children again with a very poor and very thin spring mattress. The en-suite room had tired looking ambience and furniture with very little warmth or comfort and certainly was well below a 3 star hotel standard or expectation. The shower is most disappointing as it had little water pressure and poor drainage and the bathroom is a very tight space. Again not a 3 star standard. Very disappointed. Hotel staff were very courteous, responsive and helpful. Breakfast is reasonable with good assortment of choices. Car parking has very limited spaces.

Good
The worst two night stay I've ever had in cardiff
I am just going to do highlights from my stay otherwise it will take to long, however I was not happy... Service at the bar and breakfast were dreadful.. Bed was most uncomfortable I've ever slept in, neither of got any sleep the two days we were there.. Battery cover was missing from remote control.. No inhouse booklet detailing facilities or breakfast times.. Shower head faced the curtain and the floor only, no matter what you did with it, so had to be held with one hand to shower.. Ordered nachos and sweet fries in the foyer with our wine before going out for the evening. No plates or napkins were brought with the food, even though it is finger food and we were sharing, when I asked for some napkins the lady said she would go and get some, then never returned, they were also burnt on the bottom.. Even though we were booked in for two nights we were only given 4 milk jiggers, 4 sachets of sugar and the same of tea and coffee.. Tried twice to ring downstairs on separate occasions for breakfast time and something else, no one answered the reception phone.. I have stayed in this hotel many times when it was a Jury's and never had a complaint.. Raddisson needs to sort this out, as I will not be staying there again.

Exceptional
Very close to everything and easy 5 minute walk from Cardiff Central station. Could not checkin until 3pm so went to have a drink and walk at nearby Dewi Sant mall - pretty much around the corner. Close to movie theatres and Motopoint across the road from hotel. Room was a good size - door quite tricky to open we had room 126. Have advised reception when checking out do hopefully will sort it. We added the breakfast option for our stay - it was very nice selection - cereals fruit toast pastries cookies and full English breakfast as well. Would recommend to stay here
