4/10 Fair

I booked a one night stay here when my flight home was cancelled for weather. Opted to pay more for the all inclusive package. The trouble started with a message on this app right after confirming the booking - asking for a call ASAP to confirm the stay. I called the number and it was an affiliate with the hotel, not the hotel itself, asking for all my info including my CC info. I declined since it was already paid for and they told me it would cost me $5 to confirm and sign up for whatever they were selling - grocery coupons?! weird. I declined and the man was rude, telling me he cant help me, cant confirm, and wouldn't answer my questions about if he was with the hotel or not. then he hung up on me. Getting to the hotel was a nightmare, Expedia claims in the listing that free hotel transportation was included but offers no guidance on booking it. when I called both hotel and Expedia, both told me they dont do that and to call the other one. both provided no solutions and a taxi ride for the 20 miles it takes was $140. totally deceiving and unacceptable. upon checking in, they claimed they didnt have a room ready (it was 6pm) and said they could get us in right away if we pay $200 more for a top of the line room (they claimed it was $600/night and we would be getting a good deal, but I already paid $400 for this ONE NIGHT, so I wouldn't be getting a deal at all. we declined time and time again after them asking us to upgrade. no guidance on the hotel after we finally got in.
