6/10 Good

Young families should read this review!
We stayed for 6 nights as 2 adults, 2 children. Unfortunately we were given 'connecting' rooms despite booking one room, so our family was separated for the entire stay. When reporting this to Hotels.com they felt it was acceptable as the hotel advertises 'connecting rooms'. To be very clear, their rooms do not connect AT ALL- they are neighbouring rooms. Buyer beware! Even if you book 1 room for your family, you will get 2 and there are no internal doors.
To stay here for 6 nights was a bit too long considering the breakfast on offer was the same every day. Perhaps for 2 to 3 nights this would be ok.
The particular street where the hotel is situated is confronting. Lots of African groups taking up the sidewalks. We don't know if our safety was at risk but the crowding in the afternoons, drunkenness and homelessness was evident. We didn't have any trouble but there are far nicer streets to choose from, particularly when travelling with young children. Even one to two streets over tends to be less rowdy.
The hotel itself is a lovely retreat from the neighbourhood outside. It was nice to be looking over the rooftops. The rooms are clean, modern and had enough space to move around. One room had a tiny corner shower which we couldn't really use, lucky we he two bathrooms for that reason I guess! Few issues with some power outlets not working.
Good wifi. Metro access great. I think this hotel suits people who need to be in the area and for business trips.
