Exceptional 10.0
Every single thing about this property was above five stars. From the friendliness of the doorman, to the excellent check-in staff and very helpful and nice concierge. The hotel itself has a beautiful and unique look and feel to it. I loved the Decore and especially the elevators! We l attended the Mad Hatter’s tea party and it was phenomenal as well. Everything tied together and made me feel like I was literally going down the rabbit hole. Very cute and delicious food and a nice environment. Friendly and helpful waiters as well as management. I had such a wonderful experience at the Sanderson I’m looking forward to booking another trip to London specifically to stay at this hotel and bring our daughter to the tea party. I think what truly made this hotel stand out from any other I’ve visited in Europe & the USA was that one of the staff was so helpful enough to make sure I made my early morning flight. He actually drove with me in a taxi to the train station, made sure I got the right ticket for the Gatwick express and loaded my heavy suitcases for me. I wish every single hotel manager could send their staff to the Sanderson so they can see what customers appreciate & what a 5 star hotel is all about. I really felt like everyone loves their job. Oh & the bar area is great too! Thank you for going above & beyond!! See you soon!!!

Beautifully decorated hotel in perfect location
The Sanderson hotel in London is a beautifully decorated modern hotel. The staff members were helpful, friendly and welcoming. The location of the hotel is really quite perfect! It was within 5 minute walking distance to Regent and Oxford street , where there is a great mix of shops ! We could even walk to the London eye, Westminster ,museums and theaters! We didn't need to use the metro or bus at all! The room was immaculate and pristine. We couldn't ask for a better room! They even gave us a free mobile phone to use during out stay in London! The phone was extremely helpful for navigating our way through London and for local calls and internet in general! We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London and hope to return ourselves in the future!

The Sounds of Silence
The staff are remarkable! The highly stylized environment of the hotel down to the beautiful scent wafting through the lobby and the dimmed elevator and hallways leading to the rooms are wonderful. However, the sound environment of the rooms has been overlooked. The walls are very thin and every noise can be heard both from the adjacent rooms and the hallway. The continual slamming of the doors and the banging of the cleaning staff are what woke us up every single morning. Also, the tap handles for the sink and shower, while pretty, are difficult to turn off when you hands are wet. If the auditory quality could be addressed this would be a 5 star right across the board.

New London Favourite
From the moment we entered the lobby at the Sanderson and encountered the bubbly personality of Ruth, we knew that we were at a fantastic hotel. All of the staff were accommodating and extremely pleasant and personable. Our room (a suite) was spacious and well-appointed and the location puts you right where you want to be - just off Oxford Street; minutes from Soho and Leicester Square and surrounded by restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed the Mad Hatter's Tea which offered delectable nibbles and exotic teas (I even bought some tea to take home!). Overall, we have found our new go-to hotel in London. We LOVED it!!

Trying too hard to be cool
The Sanderson is well located and generally fine, but there were a number of oddities that made it feel like they were trying to hard to be cool at the expense of practicality. The elevator was done up to feel like you were in a galaxy in outer space. The halls were very dark, with just floor lighting at each door. The bathroom was a giant glass cube (very spacious) with curtains separating it from the bedroom, and the bed, for no apparent reason, was on an angle. None of this was a problem per se, but I prefer hotels that place more emphasis on substance over style - especially when the style is just silly.
