Deserves it's rating!
Great location and space but the front desk could be more efficient and the concierge is often just spaced out! It took 3 days and insisting for them to find a package that was delivered (thank goodness for proof of delivery) and after that, other packages were brought on time. One concierge in particular acted completely spaced out everytime we interacted only to find out he was perfectly fine with the front desk staff! He likely needs re-allocation to a different department! The hotel gets pretty busy likely due to the proximity to Paddington station and most guests look like business guests. The hotel walls are quite thin though and noise from the hallway and outside were bothersome. The heated floor in the bathroom was really nice in cold weather.

Conveniently located
The location of the hotel is excellent, with close proximity to Lancaster Gate and Paddington underground station. The hotel is well-maintained. However, the room and bed is very small.

Upgrade and Hotel Move
Initial issues as I’d selected pay at check in but hotel took one days payment ahead of check in to secure booking which isn’t mentioned on the hotels.com web site. As I was only staying one night it meant I had paid full amount up front. Not an issue just wasn’t expecting it so oatment was rejected. Hotels.Com were no help at all despite a long conversation with an agent. Rang Hotel direct who were very professional and sorted issue. On arrival hotel had over booked so we were upgraded to a club room at Sister Hotel Park Grand Lancaster Gate which was only 109 yards away. Check in was efficient and polite but after that dissent see the hotel. Lancaster Gate hotel was excellent in club room. Would use this hotel chain again but would book direct rather than via Hotels.com as info on their site is wrong and they are no help when things go wrong so no point in having them as a. Middle man.
