Weekend Stay in Brisbane
After a late cancellation of accommodation, I urgently needed to find a place to stay for various weekend events in Brisbane. After some searching, I found The Point to be the best value location. Conveniently it was also more central to the various locations than my previous accommodation. While initially finding the building hard to locate, and walking around the block twice, I entered and was greeted by very friendly reception. They advised me of the opening times of the rooftop bar, which I made a point of visiting once I settled into my room. Definitely not to be missed! The room was very spacious and comfortable. While facing the motorway from the 3rd floor, only the noisiest of vehicles could be heard faintly. Location wise, it is a little distant as a walker. Having said that, the views along the cliff top both day and night made the walk very worthwhile. Commuting to Brisbane CBD was relatively easy, just a walk to the bottom of the hill to the park and left to the cross-river ferry. Pick the right time, and the trip is free. At the hotel itself, the minibar was nicely stocked, which was convenient after a long day. Breakfast on the morning of my departure was relaxing, with a good selection. Overall, would definitely consider staying on a return visit.

Comfortable stay
I liked the spacious room and the customer service. It was a comfortable stay overall. One thing to improve is for the cleaning staff to check the extra blankets (wrapped inside a plastic bag inside cupboard) because it was really smelly (awful smell) and had a hair from a previous person that used it. Other than the recommendation to wash those blankets, everything else was fine.

A nice 3 night stay! Room was spacious and comfortable and clean and quiet. Loved the balcony and heated pool. Views looking northwest towards the city were nice. Shower pressure could have been more and microwave in room would have been better

Have stayed here before, I find it a great location with a very well maintained hotel. The only issue I have is the shower being in the bath. Seems an ancient and in someways dangerous getting in and out. Not sure takes baths these days. Though the rest of the hotel is excellent from the roof top bar to the restaurant.
