Great stay at a reasonably priced hotel & Close to a subway. Excellent little cafe on the Ground Floor with unusually good coffee for the USA as the barista is French & they have a proper coffee machine.

Good hotel on upper west
Older style hotel but has been renovated and was very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. 2 blocks to nearest subway which is only 2 stations from Colombus circle which gives you multiple options to go anywhere. Lots of restaurants a block over on Amsterdam Ave and seems to be plenty of people on the street so always felt safe. More laid back area than downtown. Bathroom while clean didn’t vent very well and always felt damp. Lift was quite small and slow so may be a problem in busy times. Overall we enjoyed the stay and room size was quite good.

Good located hotel
This is a good hotel option right on Broadway with subway a short walk and great cafes and restaurants close by. The rooms itself are good. The small fridge in my room was very noisy. Housekeeping kept the rooms clean. In the standard queen room there are no tea or coffee facilities but in lobby you can make tea or hot choclate but no coffee. Would recommend staying here.

Excellent location, great staff. The only downside in the family room is there is one toilet which is in the adults room, so you get traffic through the night. It is a little noisy but hey, you’re in New York! I would stay there again 100% but would change the room configuration.

Wonderful old hotel renovated beautifully.
Love the upper west and the Belleclaire is in the heart of it all- shops, public transport, food, restaurants, entertainment (Walked two blocks to Beacon Theatre which always has top artists) It is a community. Our room was wonderfully comfortable and enjoyed the view across rooftops to the Hudson but our son who has stayed at the Belleclaire said the rooms on Broadway were fantastic. Staff were always friendly and helpful making us feel welcome. Did a free walking tour offered by the hotel of the area and it was excellent. What a wonderful extra the hotel offered.
