Not a Holiday Inn
Generally disappointed with my stay, I travel a LOT for work so usually just want a nice bed, decent wifi and a good shower, this hotel missed the mark on all counts. I stayed in three other Holiday Inns that week with no complaints. For some reason here you need to pay for functioning wifi (couldn't establish a VPN on the free service so had to tether off my phone). I ordered room service which was as expected however they decided to add a service charge to my bill in addition to a tray charge, this was only £2 odd but frankly I thought this was a bit presumptive and rude. Not impressed, not going back.

There was no stay , I try to change my Booking , staff extremely unfriendly on the phone , make me feel very uncomfortable for asking to change the date . I had to phone twice , first Time been put on hold for long Time , than phonecall cut off , second Time I basically been told bad luck. The Hotel itself I believe is good but staff so unfriendly and not willing to Help at all , wasted my money as staff could not even change a booking . Very disappointed

Good
Nice hotel practical with spa facilities.
We booked a one night special deal with breakfast and free parking and enjoyed our stay on our way to Blickling Hall. The spa facilities were a must and we also enjoyed our dinner. The room was spacious and comfortable although skirting board was full of dust and must have been forgotten by the cleaner. The changing room in the swimming pool had some mould in shower and the ceiling of the swimming pool coveted in mould. Need to be refurbished. Otherwise good facilities.

Very good
Decent hotel at a good price
Managed to book in late (same day) after mix up over dates at Premier Inn in Norwich City centre. Booking online was easy and I’d rather give Holiday Inn the money than pay twice at Premier Inn (their loss). Room was big, bed was comfy. Pillows could have been better but the shower was good, basic room amenities & didn’t get to use the free spa & gym facilities. If you want breakfast make sure you pre-book or book when you check in as it’ll cost you £14.99 on the day.
