They should not even be listed as a hotel/motel.
The room was not properly cleaned and when I complained I was told that if I did not stay the $182.00 would be forfeited. It was worth the money to get the hell out of there. I will never recommend Red Roof Inn Hickory to anyone!!! I came with my family after burying my husband for a change of atmosphere and to try to clear my mind. Huge mistake! If you are looking for some place clean and inviting, DO NOT CONSIDER the Red Roof Inn.

Lack of training
Customer service was incompetent and careless, lack of training and poor choice in the hiring process, no name tags, dirty uniform, rude attitude. The unwillingness to descalate a situation involving cash resulted in cops being call and a bigger issue than needed to be. Juan needs to be retrain in customer service or be replaced with someone that knows how to operate a business properly. I've stayed in this place many times over the years and I've recommended it to my coworkers as a great place to stayt never again. Definitely not worth the it

The Manager from Hell.
Two people on staff to clean 50 some rooms. Myself and my family had to clean and make the beds in the room. Do not stay there. I spoke to the manager about a refund. She said it wasn't her fault and she would not give me a refund. So we cleaned our own room and made our own beds.
