Historical Hotel but in need of a Major Renovation
Convenient hotel close to the Opera and several Metro lines but rooms are rather small and outdated. Bathroom has extremely hot water so that was great for this 2 degree weather but the room was also extremely hot even when we turned off the heater. Had to crack the window a tad. Much more affordable than the W and the Intercontinental Hotel I stayed at in Paris, around half the price, but definitely without the luxury of those hotels as well. If you want wine glasses, plates and silverware, they won't bring them up to the room, you have to go down to the bar and get them from a waiter. Also since it's an older hotel, there was a couple creepy instances we noticed but nothing major if you're into a bit of Parisian nostalgia. The bar area is pretty though and reminds me of the Overlook Hotel if you know what I'm saying.

Shame about the breakfast
We were there for our 33rd Wedding Anniversary and know the area quite well. We thought we’d upgrade the hotel as we got an amazing deal on Eurostar. The hotel is well situated and the only issue was breakfast. Apparently it was not included and the cost was €25pppn so €150 in total for a 3 night stay. This would have been acceptable if the breakfast had been something special. However it soon became clear there were insufficient staff, did not cater well for those with gluten intolerance and after a guest set light to the toaster there was no facility to toast bread for 2 days when a small “household “ toaster arrived which took forever. My juice glass has lipstick rings remaining and there were NO cereal spoons so I was left for 45 minutes with a bowl of yoghurt and fruit without the ability to start eating whilst they searched the kitchen for clean spoons to no avail and said they would wash me a spoon. This didn’t happen and after Day 1 it was the same. Very disappointing for such a posh hotel

Exceptional 10.0
We have been visiting Paris every year for twelve years to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and have stayed at this hotel for the past three years, this hotel far exceeds all other hotels we have previously visited. The hotel is situated on the Boulevard Haussmann close to many restaurants, cafe’s, and shops, it is also only a short walking distance to the Galeries Lafayette, opera house and local metro and bus services. We had requested a high floor ‘club’ room via email a week before arrival and we were given a top floor room with a view of Sacré-Cœur, the room was spotless, the bed was comfortable and pillows were just right, the room included bath robes, slippers, mini-bar, Samsung TV, safe, large wardrobe, trouser press and a kettle with tea coffee etc., the furniture décor was typically French and classy, the bathroom was also spotless, had a walk-in shower, large bath, marble basin was well stocked with all array of toiletries.

HOTEL SECURITY, Employee at the Hotel Restaurant
We went down to the Hotel restaurant for Breakfast , There is no security any one from the street can get to the restaurant no questions asked they can just get in and have the breakfast buffet walk around . My wife was getting robed her backpack by two person that came in from the street try to distract us while sitting having breakfast , and tried to get the backpack that was on the floor next to her. We manged to pull the backpack from the robber and they ran a way my wife screamed and no one from the restaurant was around until later POOR SECURITY Never the less to say that the Breakfast Buffet was poorly handled and the food was just thrown there and the employee service was unacceptable and careless , We were told by the front desk that the door to the street was suppose to be locked or someone need to be present to monitor who walk to the restaurant PLEASE BE AWARE Of THIEVES, I did not feel SAFE IN this HOTEL I would not return back there.

Highly recommend
We had booked a Trafalgar tour of France which included Paris. Trafalgar uses the Millennium hotel for their Paris stays. We extended our stay by an extra 3 days and chose to stay at the Millennium. We are so glad we did. The Millennium staff was excellent, the rooms were clean and well-attended to. “Turn down service”? Who does that anymore? Well, the Millennium does!!! The hotel is a well-preserved building oozing in charm and a by-gone era yet has modern amenities without sacrificing the originality of the building . We spent 2 weeks traveling all over France but the breakfast at the Millennium was the best of all. The staff was so very helpful in guiding us with directions and even a taxi to the airport when our trip was over. We would highly recommend the Millennium l’Opera in Paris.
