checking in can be easier
check-in is problematic as the hotel front dedk only open till 11 am on public holiday and Sunday. Thus the hotel reception sent an email requesting my credit card info so that they can charge a "nominal" $10 to authorise my check-in and also in case I incur any expenditure during my stay when the front desk is close. I was apprehensive about disclosing such sensitive info over tbe email and seeked clarification from Hotel.com which opined that it is optional and i do not need to send the credit card info. however, the hotel insist that the info must be provided but instead offer to take the info over the phone. it would be much easier if hotel.com let customer like me know about such requirements beforehand so that I could decide whether or not to book such hotel.

Good 6.0
I am sure it was rated 4* on your website. It is a - 3 * . In #36 the carpet had marks that have clearly been there for many months.. no sheer curtain, so when we pulled back the block out curtain everyone who walked past our room saw in... the carpet was badly frayed at the entrance of the room. The bed was just awful...we think it was an old spring mattress..if one of us moved even the slightest, it moved lime a water bed.. if you are elderly or handicapped, to walk up the steep driveway would be a big challenge. We asked for a premium room with a view. The view was mainly of the awful black bitumen driveway and carpark and the industrial rubbish bins. The hotel needs a good spruce up to keep a 4* rating.. Poor 2.0
Absolutely awful
Absolutely horrible! Upon first arrival the room looked clean, however soon realised had no towels so had to go down to reception and get towels and was only given one towel and a hand towel... No bath mat... Than went back to room and the toilet had been used and not flushed! So clearly not cleaned! So it made me wonder if the sheets were clean or had they just made the bed! The laundry room was filthy... The only thing that I can say was the bed was semi comfortable, after I stopped wondering if the sheets were clean or not...

Fantastic position overlooking the park
Whilst the hotel position is fantastic 5 minutes from the town, the rooms are large and comfortable and the food in the restaurant great and good value, the hotel has some major misgivings, you only get 1 room key which is not ideal for a couple doing different things especially on a Sunday when reception closes at 11.00am, my advice go to Coles and get a 2nd key cut when you arrive, the room key has the room number written on it so remove the tag encase you lose your key or someone could acccess your room. There is no or coffee making in the room but the bar is closed until 6.00pm with no other options to get a hot or cold drink, these minor points make a big difference and are not ideal!

Great location for our needs.
Our room was very spacious. Although we did not use the cooking facilities it was good to have it. The bed was comfortable and it was great to have a second TV in the bedroom. The bathroom was very clean and it even had a large spa. There was no shortage of lights in the bathroom. During our stay we had dinner at the restaurant which was very good and the staff attentive. The only complaint we have is the $50 bond deposit which was taken from us on arrival ...... the room did no have a mini bar and we paid for our food and drinks on the night. It took 6 days for the $50 bond to be returned to our bank account.
