Villa Beaumarchais

Only complaint was the indifference and unhelpfulness of a female staffer at reception. On both occasions that we encountered her. Otherwise all good.

Very accomadating staff ,helpful and friendly. On the edge of the marais ,good location,comfortable,AND very quiet.

Out dated hotel with shabby furnishings & terrible service. I stayed here with my husband & 7 year old daughter and would never stay again. We had done a long train journey from Marseille to Paris and were looking forward to relaxing in our room when we arrived around 5:30pm. But the receptionist told us we couldn’t check in to the room yet as a workman was still finishing changing the key over from an old key to a modern sensor key. She said it would only be around 15 minutes wait, but she didn’t offer us a drink in the bar or even a glass of water while we waited. So we walked to a nearby bar to get refreshments. We came back at 6:30pm and had to make a fuss & ask the receptionist to call the manager, as she still didn’t have the room key for us. I said it was bad service and unacceptable that we still couldn’t get into our room at 6:30pm & that my daughter was tired. Finally the manager came & we asked if we could have some kind of compensation like a free breakfast, so he said yes, but only after we had made a fuss. We got to our room and there were workman’s tools & dust all over the corridor and we had to step over the mess. The room was apparently a “Junior Suite”, but the carpet was worn out, the wallpaper and furnishings were shabby & look like they hadn’t been replaced since the 1970s. At least the beds were comfortable. I can’t believe they are rated 4*. The building is nice outside, and location and size of rooms is good, but the hotel interior is seriously shabby

We had 2 nights in Paris and it was really nice. The breakfast was wonderful and the people and service was excellent. There is an elevator which helps with suitcases, and the location is really ideal. It is not too crowded but close enough to Uber or bike ride to core tourist area (or walk). We would definitely stay again next time we are in Paris.

It was ok, but I don’t think I’d stay there again. The rooms smelled like smoke, the air conditioner was weak, the location was not great, and it just didn’t feel very clean. On the bright side, the people were wonderful, extremely nice and helpful!
