DO NOT STAY HERE. From the unwelcoming non welcome we received our stay was atrocious. We had to move rooms twice, the pipes that run THROUGH the rooms bang and crack allllll night between the trains passing right outside the window Staff didn’t want to hear about it, “it’s an old building” is all we got. Wyndham staff are there everyday to try get you along to their conferences to sell you things. The welcome “GIFT” which there is a letter in the room stating to collect from the Wyndham staff was unknown to some, the others that did know about it...well.. yes it was for us to go along to their conference to sell us stuff. Hotel management have actively reported my bad reviews to try have them removed. But not addressed any issue.

Way way too expensive for how basic the facilities / room.

A central hotel at a reasonable price
With a family reunion looming, I booked 3 suites as they provided a lot more room than the standard room for not much more money. This hotel was central enough for our purposes. It is by no means a modern hotel, but I kinda like the olde worlde of this type of hotel. The cafe next door was good for breakfast.

Poor 2.0
Old, noisy, neglected, ill fitting curtains, had to change rooms due to ROAR of external commercial air con? below building in laneway despite being on high floor. Needs sound proof glazing - building built in 1920s and needs major refurb. Very expensive for the experience. However great location, very friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable king size bed and extremely large room - more like a suite.

Excellent for the cost
This is a clean, comfortable and spacious hotel. The staff were really nice and it's in an excellent location around the corner from Michigan Ave and really close to things like Field Museum and the Art Institute. It makes walking to the big attractions really easy. Water pressure in the shower could be better but the rooms are really clean and comfy so that made up for it tenfold.

Find a different hotel! This one is gross
It was filthy. My hand was black from the remote and looked like it had never been cleaned. The service button on the phones didn’t work. My bathtub drain didn’t work well at all and I was standing in a bunch water during my shower. The was not comfortable with my bare feet on the carpet because it looked so dirty. The floor looked like dust had accumulated in some areas. The staff was very friendly to me, but I noticed a lot of customer issues with bookings.with Covid outbreaks I was shocked in how dirty it was. I was originally supposed to stay two nights but went to a LaQuinta about 15min out of the city.

Not going back
Rooms were very dated and need repair. No housekeeping services provided due to COVID. I can understand but no one informed us. When I went down to the desk to get TP and towels the person on duty was rude and seemed put out that I asked for anything. He also told me (as we were leaving) that I had to get anything I needed now or else it wouldn’t be available later. So we had to wait for supplies, then wait while I ran them up to our room. If someone had told us this when we checked in we could have planned better.

Great location
Staff good and friendly. Building is old vit room was good. Only thing is I wish is that our room already had an extra set of sheets for pull out bed. We were tired by the time we got to hotel and had to go to get them in the front desk. Location was fantastic. Will go back.
