The Daffodil Hotel

Beautiful location on a lake, lovely grassed area with chairs & lounges on the terrace. Scrumptious continental and cooked breakfast. Had a peaceful lounge/bar where you could order food. Also a spa pool, sauna & steam room free for guests, paid treatments available.

Lovely hotel, the age of the hotel is not what it looks. It’s actually a modern stone building. The facilities were good although the spa was being renovated which was a little disappointing, however the pool, steam room and sauna were amazingly relaxing. Would stay again.

Great Stay. Only improvement would be if there could have been a fridge/mini bar in room. Important to us as my partner is diabetic.

Situated right on the lakefront, in a beautiful old building that has been carefully restored & transformed internally. We booked two rooms, both different but lovely with huge comfy beds and good bathrooms. The thermal pool is fantastic. Breakfast was very good. The reception staff were friendly & helpful, but the barman/waiter seemed a little bored & offhand.

We booked this hotel for our minimoon and stayed there for five Nights. It is one of the best hotel i ever stayed , location is excellent with a great view of lake and mountains, walking distance to Grasmere town where one can enjoy the famous ginger bread and walk into Wordsworth garden . Breakfast was great , reception was very friendly and check-in process was smooth, cleaning was ammaculate, room service second to none. We had an amazing time and already planning for our next visit. I would never go for another hotel in Lake district. Thanks to everyone at daffodil hotel .
