The rooms have been remolded and are very nice. I think the hotel service fee of $23.00 a night is a little high, but at least they still offer free parking.

Way overpriced for what you get.
I love Sam's Town, but it needs updating and they need to price their rooms better. The location of the hotel is horrible. The surrounding neighbor is disgusting. But at long as you are not leaving the hotel you are fine. The casino and hotel are safe because they have good security, but there are tons of homeless people around the area. The hotel rooms for weekends are extremely overpriced. You can stay better and cheaper on the strip. I have been going to Sam's Town for over 20 years and like the casino, so I come back. However, I've noticed that they still haven't updated the basics like getting a good comforter on the beds. They put a thin, very old blanket between two sheets and think that is better than a proper comforter. It's the same old blanket that they have used for at least 20 years, so they need to update that. A nice touch with the free refrigerator in the room though. They need to stop charging over $20 resort fees. Just incorporate it into your price, but they argue at check in with you that it is for the pool, health club and internet, none of which I used. So you are just nickel and diming me. One of the reasons I would visit Sam's Town was because the slot machines pay out more than the strip. That is no longer the case. Their machines do not pay out as well any more. You can find much looser slots on the strip now. Overall, an okay hotel, but way overpriced for what they give you.

Great stay, staff was friendly & professional
The overall stay was great with a few exceptions. The pool was closed for maintenance, yet the resort fee was still the same. The workout room was substandard.

First Time Stay
First time at this hotel. Pros: The layout is great and there's great options for food and entertainment. Loved the atrium. Great deals everywhere. Casino options are excellent. Service, cleanliness and security was excellent in all areas. Cons: We were forced to make a complaint for the stench of weed smoke in our room coming through the bathroom venting. The complaint was taken seriously by the hotel staff and dealt with quickly (much appreciated). I hope the hotel was able to find where it was coming from and charge them the cleaning fee. The other disappointment was the poor soundproofing between rooms. But it's no worse than pretty much every Vegas hotel. Overall, the pros greatly outweigh the cons and we'll definitely be back to this great facility.
