Perfect Getaway!
Great place to stay! This was our first time staying at the the Lodge we had been there previously to utilize the spa services and take our kids ice skating. If you are looking for the perfect place to stay with family in the Mountains near Yosemite Tenaya is a wonderful option. So many fun activities even our teenager didn't get board. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfy and everyone had a great time. Our family will definitely be back in the near future.

6/10 Good

Terrible infrastructure
There’s only one restaurant available, when we arrived at 7 pm, the waitlist is 2.5 hrs long! There’s a family buffet available but the selection is very limited. We’re forced go to the Pizzeria which took > 30 mins to get our pizza. While California is pushing towards electric cars, this hotel has only 1 non-Tesla charging station available and all the Tesla charging stations were down during our stay. Furthermore, when we saw that a non-EV was parking at the charge station overnight, we complain to the staff at the front desk. All that we’ve got was “it’s my responsibility”! How can a hotel of this size has only 1 working EV charge station and 1 restaurant available? I would recommend the staff to simply write down the room number on the parking permit so that they can find the car owner to move their car when parking violation is found.

Missing the resort feeling
In the 4 years since I’ve been here the place has declined. The carpets in the common areas seemed dirty and needed to be vacuumed. We had to walk by the indoor pool to get to our room and the smell gagged us every time. It cost $85 for 4 people to ice skate but the staff couldn’t get a towel to wipe down the rain water from the benches where you put on skates. It no longer feels like a welcoming resort. Our waiter at dinner was very nice but he was so overworked that we couldn’t get water refills for 20 minutes. I don’t think I’ll be back since I no longer get that resort care for the price.
