I stayed for 7 days at Falling Leaves Lodge so they were kind enough to upgrade me to a cabin so that I would be extra comfortable and feel at home. Everyone was extra helpful from helping me book excursions to recommending great restaurants in town. The restaurant on site was nice for a cocktail before heading out since it overlooks the town and is a great spot for sunset. The room and main restaurant had great wifi - strong enough for video calls if you’re doing a bit of work. The only thing worth noting is that the hotel is a 15-20 walk from the main town area. It’s not bad because it actually feels really peaceful up there.

Staff were super friendly and helpful with any requests from helping with local recommendations to making calls for us to our cave tubing tour to coordinate. We enjoyed the great service! Food at the restaurant was also great

Exceeded expectations. Comfortable room comparable to a US Marriott hotel room. Larger cleaner even.

Falling Leaves is relatively new and situated on top of a hill above San Ignacio and right next to Cahal Pech ruins. We liked the in-house restaurant and all staff including reception were exceptionally friendly. The room was adequate, however there was a strong smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. Finally, although this is beyond the hotel's control and will only be of interest to those concerned about electromagnetic fields exposure, there are two large telecommunications masts next to the property.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Standard room was comfortable. Restaurant was convenient and food was okay. However, standard room was also right below the restaurant so it was noisy with music, conversation, footsteps and dragging chairs at closing time. People need to be aware that the lodge is on top of a steep hill.

The room was very spacious, looked new and very clean. We got a plate of cookies, fruit, and welcome drinks on arrival. All staff on the property were extremely friendly and accommodating. We had dinner at the restaurant on our first night there and enjoyed the food and drinks very much. The location is a little bit out of town, but a $5us cab ride gets you into town within 6-7 minutes. I think this hotel is absolutely a winner and would stay there again without hesitation.

I think the property was perfectly good for the two nights we were there. Fortunately, we didn't need a pool, but I think the lack of having one (and having to pay $5 to use the neighboring property's pool) will hurt them in warmer, dry months. Otherwise, my room was spacious, clean, and gave me a happy feeling!! I wish it was closer to the city center but the hotel was good!! The best part, was the staff!! They advised that we could order our breakfast in advance, and that was pretty great. Then, we left behind an important travel case and they took it to the airport in BZE so we could pick it up before we flew home. They truly went over and beyond and we're quite grateful!! Even when they thought our tour was running late, they called them for us. Truly awesome staff!!

We Stayed at Falling leaves for a quick 2 nights and couldn’t have been more happy! The property is new, they have been open since Oct. The rooms were clean and modern. The Obsidian restaurant is awesome and are very accommodating for early breakfasts for you before you head out on any tours. Jonny the bar tender was absolutely AMAZING!!!! We had an issues with a sewage smell in our room because of some heavy rain but staff were so helpful and didn’t hesitate to move our room. They took care of everything while we were away on a tour. My only problem with the trip was it was too short.

Falling Leaves is a new resort, located up top a hill next to the cahal pech ruins. A short walk into town or a taxi will get you wherever you need in San Ignacio and all tours we scheduled with the staff picked up and dropped off at the hotel. ATM is a must and the staff arranged a great day for us and had helpful tips to prepare. The grounds are beautiful, rooms large and clean, and the staff were kind, helpful, and friendly. The restaurant is really good, too, with some of the best food we had in the area. Overall, falling leaves is a great choice for anyone looking to be near the jungle and the town.
