Almost ideal but not quite.
Very friendly staff. Location was convenient, esp for transport. The only negative issue was the shower. It wasn’t draining well. We asked to be moved to a different room with a “working” bathroom but they were full. They didn’t fix the bathroom issue which disappointed me very much.

Great area to stay
The night staff was wonderful! He even made sure we had amazing day in Rome when we got our bags and he was coming into work. He walked us to our room the night we checked in and made sure we had everything we needed. The day lady was awful knew we had to use the bathroom and never even cared to ask what we were doing just opened the door and talked to her friend that was there!! But all in all perfect spot if you want to get dinner and drinks.

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS! JUST AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE!
I made a booking last November for two separate rooms for me and my friend. We received an email confirmation stating that two separate rooms would be reserved. When we arrived at the hotel, one of the rooms was "under renovation". They wanted my friend and I to stay in a tiny room with two single beds. We are both very told men and we do not fit in single beds. My friend goes to bed early and gets up early. I go to bed extremely late and get up late. There was no way we could share a tiny room. Every other hotel in Central Rome was showing up online as sold out. I looked at at least 50 hotels. After walking to 10 local hotels, I found a hotel room for €400 per night. Valentino Palace did absolutely nothing to help me find a hotel room. They also would not pay for the alternate room. The other hotel was very generous and gave me the room for €300. I am still €300 out of pocket because this hotel did not reserve two rooms as promised then did nothing to assist me in finding alternate accommodation. Not recommended whatsoever!

Nice place to stay
Very smooth check-in and check-out. They provided city map with helpful info. Next door restaurant is also great. On down side, lift is small and slow. One bathroom doesn't have exhaust/extractor fan and pillows weren't comfortable.

A great family run Hotel
Our first time to Rome and we wanted to stay close to the train station. We choose Hotel Valentino Palace and could have not found a better family run friendly place to stay. Luca the hotel owner looked after all our needs. He and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Our room was very well laid out and clean. The restaurant next door run by his father is a great little gem. I did read on other reports that people were concerned about the area. We had no issues! It is a big city and you have to be mindful of the people around you like any other big city. They are doing renovations which did not cause us any disturbances. It is great to see that they are investing back into the business!
