This apartment was very well maintained. Very new and modern amenities. Shower was HOT and LOVELY. Love that there was a kitchen area to cook, but the ONLY downfall to that is the smoke detectors are very sensitive and when the smoke enters the hallway the building fire alarm set off and the fire brigade are called out. NOTE to management, I believe you would not have this happen as often as it does (as it happened 3 times already the week we were there) if there was large bold signage on perhaps the splashback above the stove alerting guests to ENSURE WINDOWS ARE OPEN when cooking. The ONLY mention of this is when you look through the guest information folder there is in small print but not everyone reads this. We had the windows fully open and we still managed to call the poor fireys out for no reason. Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming and were very understanding with the fire alarm (as this happens ALL THE TIME). Also, the property's page should make note of the demolition / construction works directly out our window as this was underway from 7am - at least 6pm and also 8am SATURDAY morning. This is just commencing by the looks and once the demolition works are finished it will then commence construction so this project will be at least a year or more or noise and disruption to guests. It was bearable as we were out most of the days and can be tolerated but I believe guests SHOULD be told about this and made aware of this PRIOR to booking so they know

"3-person apartment"?
We were told the apartment was 4-star standard and would sleep 2 people in a queen bed and our teenage daughter on a sofa bed. It turned out to be a single room, sectioned off Japanese style with sliding doors to create a "bedroom" slightly bigger than the queen (actually 2 adjacent singles) bed and a small kitchen/dining/lounge area. But where was the sofa bed? You guessed it - in the aforementioned public area - about half a metre from the kitchen bench. Okay, well ... buyer beware I suppose, but wait a minute, the slatted sofa bed turned out to be broken and completely unusable! So we'll just get the staff to to replace it or move to another room, won't we? Not as easy as it sounds. All of the rooms were apparently booked out/ there is no other bed available/ I'll need to talk to the manager/ and no, there will be no discount / oh wait there is a roller bed somewhere in storage. But the broken bed will be moved out won't it? Afraid not, there's nowhere to put it. So our teenage daughter ended up sleeping in a tiny kitchen/lounge area where 90 percent of the available floor space was taken up by furniture. Oh well, at least the Crows won the football match we went to watch. Now I'm not one to complain about cramped living quarters, but having your knees resting against the vanity basin cabinet when sitting on the toilet could be seen as somewhat disconcerting by some. I guess I'm just glad it wasn't 3-star!

Looks good from afar. Poor customer service.
The road our room was facing was very noisy so it was hard to sleep. The wifi did not work and when we finally managed to connect it was incredibly slow so it wasn't usable anyway. The handle for the water tap was missing. The carpet gave me and my friend's feet rashes. The double bed was two singled beds pushed together to form one single bed. The tv is small and too far away from the bed. SO SO DODGY. And when we went to the concierge to ask for help with the wifi, the person at the desk was very rude and talked over and belittled us. She didn't allow us to explain and rather she began speaking over us explaining the obvious (eg. "switch the wifi on on your phone, once it connects you have to sign in" all very obvious steps which we had tried numerous times, and when we tried to explain that we had done these steps already she wouldn't listen and would continue to talk over us and say these steps). Very very rude on both occasions we dealt with her. When we weren't having any luck with her, her colleague stepped in to offer some help (she couldn't fix our problem but at least she tried!) and she was much more pleasant and friendly to deal with. Also the noise was keeping my friend up at night so we asked if we could switch rooms but apparently it was full. They didn't offer any small form of compensation for all of our troubles. I would not recommend this place at all!

A gem in Melbourne!
We had a one bedroom apartment for 5 nights. Even though it was compact it had all the creature comforts of home. Cooking facilities, comfortable bed and lounge area and well equipped bathroom. I found the location good. Staff were very helpful and assisted me with trams/transport; places to eat; places to shop which made the whole experience very enjoyable. Privacy and Security were great. I never heard my neighbours and noise from outside was minimal. All in all, it was a great stay and the price was very competitive. I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to others.

Modern-style studio was a good value and comfortable since I was traveling alone. It had a kitchen bar with a fridge/freezer, two-burner stove, microwave, sink, electric kettle, and pots/pans/cutlery. Bathroom nicely appointed and w/washer/dryer combo (hard to figure out; should come with directions). I utilized maid service once during my stay, which I would rate 4 out of 10 (crumbs, some items not wiped down, freezer needed defrosting). Overall, the location was ideal, room was comfy, and the staff friendly and responsive.
